Love em. They are sensational.
Couldnt think of another band I'd like to hear louder!!
Some absolute cracking songs and albums. Highlander soundtrack a favourite.
Fat bottom girls, I want to walk free, and bugger it- I'm going to put it on now!! O0 :))

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Blues v Tigers in game
Did we play "that" much better in that qrt? I thought the Tiggers just gave up thinking they'd cruise this game in.

Good to see our tackling intensity go up.....definitely helped our game.

Waite going back was very influential too.

Curnow doing well on Cotchin.

Armfield, I thought was absolutely pityful but according to the commentators is doing a job on a tigger??? Got me beat!! ::)  Just not happy with some of his chases....only puts pedal to the metal 6 strides in.

Better Qrt obviously but we'll see which Tiggers outfit comes out after half time and if we can keep up!!

Who's the sub this week then??

Yarran again? May as well drop him too and bring in Buckley!!

Sub will be announced 90 mins (60??) before the game.

It will be someone from the bench, which is....

INT: 30 Jarrad Waite, 32 Nick Graham, 2 Troy Menzel, 27 Dennis Armfield

I'm predicting graham.

Going on that scenario........I'd pick Army as the sub.
I Like him but despite being down of late, he's what every sub should be ....an impact player. Someone with skills ( In Army's case PACE ) to really influence a game when they come on.
Army's never gonna influence a game for 100 minutes as he's not "that" good, but as a burst player I find him more than just capable.

God  :o???

Please let this season end......now!!

What a pityful excuse for a team we have become :-[ .

Where the hell is the players pride in our jumper?  I cant fathom how far we've fallen. With our draft history, trades we've made (and sometimes lack of trading)  yadda yadda yadda........  my my my, all we've ended up with is a full list of prima donnas who seem content with mediocrity.

Fark you Blues!  >:(

Excuse me MM?
What time is our "sausage sizzle" this week? ::)

For all those calling for Jibbs to be played in midfield............ MM himself when he first arrived at Carlton said that he saw Jibbs' role more as a midfielder too.  What does it say about Jibbs then that come the end of the year, he's in the backline again????  Says to me that he aint anywhere near good enough to be a permanent midfielder!

Bar those first 5 games or so, holy cow has Simmo been worth every bit of his salary this year!!

The 3 amigo's are really starting to p155 me off.
get rid of at least 1 of them , if not 2. Gibbs can fork off while we're at it.

Sick of this poor excuse for a football team. Doesnt matter who the bloody coach is. Tackles are meant to STICK otherwise whats the bloody point!!!!  We dont even bruise our opponents on the odd occasion they do stick a tackle. Weak as p155 blues.

Where the hell has our I50 pressure gone? Betts and Garlett were once feared more so for their pressure I50 than their goalkicking but they're no where to be seen. 2nd and 3rd efforts seem a distant afterthought for our guys too.

Same players give there all week in week out yet the rest continue to just float in and out of games.

Cant wait for trade week. Will be good to get rid of these soft Kocks once and for all. >:(

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Rd 18 Pre game ponderings: Holiday on the Gold Coast or Disaster at Carrarra?
I thought Cachia was brilliant last week when he came on.
Surely form couldnt be the reason for his axing this week :o

On another note, was filling up my car at 5.45 am Wed morning and lo and behold, so was Boots !!! I couldnt help myself and asked wtf he was doing up at that hour and he replied "trainen" !!
Was in all blues gear including beanie......just for those who figured he might've infact been coming home from the night before.....he wasnt.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Baby Blues vs Box Hill on TV next Sat
Considering the conditions, though Caz played really well.
Robbo seemed to have OR use more time before disposing of the footy. Played hard as usual but didnt bomb away blindly like he tends to do in the 1st's, BOG for mine.
Graham played well.
Love Buckley.....he needs a bit of size but effort and courage he does not lack.
Temay, another small player and probably the best I've seen him play. Still, he is way way behind the likes of Menzel, Graham and Buckley.

Was wrapt to see our injury prone left footer  (who's name escapes me ::)  Is it Ryse Okeefe?? )  Cant see him making it at top level but at least he was on the park as he deserves a little bit of luck.

Warnock did well at the ruck contests and to be fair, today wasnt the type of day for him to impact around the ground but at least he did try.

Laidler....Ok but the shadow of his former self. Looks so slow that you assume he's carrying an extra 30kg on his back!!  Dont know what it is but he was only so so today. At least he was being played in the back line.

Duigan...played forward a lot today. Was OK but hardly pressing for seniors.

White and Davies......meh.

Was a shocking day for footy but I enjoyed watching it. It was like watching in the good 'ol days !!  Quite a few times I was watching Robbo but was thinking of the dominator with his soaked white shorts with mud all over them....face covered in mud too.   ;D

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: RD 17 : Blues Defeat Kangaroos (After-Match Defibrillators)
"Lance" Gibbs was woeful last night, did anyone else see him half-heartedly chase a North player on the outer wing ?? He was within a metre and a half of the player at the most, the North guy took off, he trotted a handful of steps and then gave up, it was nearly as embarrassing as the Aussies batting last night.

Sorry, I'm completely over Gibbs now, sure he has great disposal (50% of the players in the competition would kill for his goal-kicking accuracy alone) but it's the other parts of his game that are reducing him to that of a serious passenger in the team. If we don't discreetly put the feelers out and see who will give us a decent trade at the end of the year then we clearly have no focus or plan on winning a premiership any time soon.

11 disposals was it?  3 of them were turnovers at least. SELL SELL SELL.
He 5hites me to tears like no other. Over rated to the hilt.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: RD 17 : Blues Defeat Kangaroos (After-Match Defibrillators)
Heart still recovering from that game last night!!

Thought our purple patch in the 3rd qrt was due to our midfield smashing theirs ......

Kreuzer was immense around the ground, aided by a very weary Goldstein. His tapwork really worries me. I swear 75% of his taps were straight down the throat of the opposition!!

Gibbs...good game peoplle say??? Really ???  11 disposals from a guy with "supposedly" a lot of talent..................no where near good enough for me. His disposal on 3 occassions last night were direct turnovers under no pressure.

Thought Cachia was a weird choice as sub too, but my God what an impact!!  Did I hear right in that he had 10 possessions and 5 tackles in 1 qrt of footy???  Fantastic effort.

In Hendo, we have our key fwd. It's the key defender we need to find. What a great game. Love his leadership in the F50 too. Always talking, always praising good work.

The 3 amigos worked well in patches. slowly getting their mojo back.

Was very pleased with Watsons 2 efforts last night....the torp and that mark. Infact i think that mark will go a long way in building confidence in this kid. I'm far from sold on him and apart from those 2 passages, he was fairly pedestrian.

Simmo is learning to carry the extra weight........of his beard!! Great game.

Murph looked freer minus the headwear but there was that contest with Zieble in the 1st or 2nd qrt that had me fearing the worst. Got through it and played well.

Does any1 else think that Army has lost his pace??? There were a few efforts of his for the past few weeks that were very un Army like.

All in all, we played fairly well. The umps were poo yet again but whats new?
We still have too many players who dont get enough of the pill. Too much left to too few.
For those with the time and inclination.....it would be an interesting stat to see how we compare with other teams with regard to how many of our players have 9 possessions or less in a game. It seems to me we have a lot of bit players and rely on the same few each week to do the bulk of the work.

 Anywhoo   Go Blues!!

N e 1 hear MM's presser after the game?
Was listening on radio on way home and they were asking why Watto hasnt been getting a game.......I nearly drove off the road when MM said that Watto's form ALL YEAR has been very encouraging but Jamo and hendo were doing the job for him.  His form encouraging ??? :o

I cant take MM seriously any more after that. Cudo's to Watto for last nights effort. It wasnt awe inspiring but he did " a " job and passed. Hopefully he can keep it up and prove to everybody that he really does want to be a Blue. ;)
