Robert Heatley Stand / Re: R7. Blues V Pies
Savour the win tonight because I think we're in for a spanking against the Maggotpies. If Yazz is out, I'll spew. There's too many little pricks that can run riot in their forward line. Elliott, Beams and Sidebottom loom as dangers if Cloke doesn't clutch them. And there's the matter of Swan and Pendlebury.

We've got to turn this game into a scrap. Don't allow a free flowing game because they will cut us up.

Hope Daisy grows another leg for this game!

Well, that's the sort of victory that sparks confidence within the group. Fantastic effort to snatch this game. In all honesty, this is the sort of situation where we would just "pack it in". But, all it takes is a single act or moment to give that "impetus". Well done Jeffy!

Now the leaders are putting it together - Murph, Gibbs and Simmo. And little Dylan Buckley is a fkn beauty!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: RD 4 : BLUES Defeated By Demons (Pathetic & Pitiful Post-Match)
Or we could have just got Ken Hinkley and we'd be a top four side.

Difference being that Ken Hinkley took over a relatively balanced list with effective Key forwards and Key backs not too mention a Selwoodesque captain in Boak.

Oh, come off it. When Port only had 3 wins in 2011, and 5 wins in 2012, everyone called them a basket case of a club.
'
They still had a decent spine with forwards that kicked goals from everywhere.

So no credit to Hinkley for turning around their on field fortunes? No credit to Koch for turning around their off field fortunes? It's only because they have a decent spine with forwards who kick goals from everywhere...

We do not have the same problems as Port Adelaide.

7 Years ago they were a top side.... where were we 7 years ago?

Yes, we know where we were 7 years ago. But you'd hope 7 years later that some of the top draft picks would be on top of their games and actually influencing wins by now. FFS!

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Do We Honestly Need A Change Of Captain Right Now ??
Yep, we do need a change. I don't care how, and don't care when. The problem is, no-one deserves it. Simmo is the best choice at the club ATM.

Those suggesting it will be "destabilising" if we strip Murphy of the captaincy, you're kidding yeah? How do you destabilise something that isn't at all stable? It's a farking shambles!
