Robert Heatley Stand / Re: In Game Action: 2019 AFL Rd 11: Carlton vs the Drug Cheats
Don’t play Fasolo ever again
Fasolo has very little talent , does not have adequate speed and is close to dwarf size. Gibbons only has slightly better speed and a slight bit more ability. That adds up to 2 forward positions that are always going to lose. And therefore so will the team.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: In Game Angst: 2019 AFL Rd 4: Carlton vs Gold Coast
What on earth is it gonna take to win a match?
GETTING RID OF GIBBONS WOULD BE A GOOD START !!!!!

Now that would be funny, if the captain took his match notes out on the field written on the back of a piece of sandpaper! The media would have a meltdown and yet the authorities might well be powerless, he could use one of those rolls of sandpaper like a dead-sea scroll!
Now what would be funny and probably rob the Barmy Army of their chanting/abuse would be if Smith took about 15 steps on to the field with an angle grinder before handing it over to someone to take back to the rooms

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: JLT Round 2 - Blues v Pies (11 March, Monday holiday)
At the moment the out-of-control fires are up around Maffra and Crooked River, well east of Morwell. However if the SE change late today/tomorrow is strong enough it could fan fires around Yinnar South would send them toward Morwell East/Churchill/Traralgon. But with rain also forecast for the area you'd think it unlikely they'd move the game. You would not believe it! I am away on a caravan holiday ! And I have to find a pub/club that has Foxtel and is willing to forego the rugby
At this stage we're planning to head to the game. Anyone else thinking of going? Reckon Chalky might be a chance.

Some of my relos were in that camp Chalky ?
Don't worry, I taught many children of those from the Camp and found the majority to be great. I still have past students contact me on FB. At a reunion a number of years ago I happily noted the number of my former pupils who not only had good jobs but many in management or equivalent roles. I am very proud of most of my ex-students but there were still some who continued the poor Camp reputation.

Oh, that mob. They're renowned for going the knuckle, pack of neanderthals.
They are certainly renowned for thuggery. There have been other times when games involving them have been stopped. There was a story that after one team refused to come out of the rooms after half-time the umpire started the second half and the team kept kicking goals to amass a big store with no opposition until one idiot kicked a behind. As there was no full-back to kick out the game came to an end!

I realise this is a dead issue, but the impact of this modern trend grows weekly.
Rita Panahi has some interesting thoughts on the issue;
- Female athletes forced to accept unfair advantage
Many at the sports administrative level would have you believe it's all hunky dory behind the scenes, but that is far from the truth!
It's weak-minded administrations up against opportunism!
Has anyone heard of a woman transitioning to a man dominating a traditional male sport?

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: 2018 Rd 22: Post Game Intelligent Discussion: Carlton vs Western Bulldogs
Murph had a shocker and I hardly noticed Lang after qtr time.
I don't think that Charlie had a good game - tried, but nowhere near his best.

Many times whoever is on the mark starts to mark that mark by looking at and scratching the ground or they turn away from the kicker to give instructions to team-mates only to have the kicker run around them while they are not looking. It cost us 2 goals today and at least that every other game.

No worse than Murphy on a good week....
Thought Kerridge was one of our best 6 quite frankly.
Kerridge couldn't hit the side of a barn from the inside! He is worse than pathetic!
