Fremantle had a good plan for us and nearly pulled it off, credit to them. We need to be better when teams play "keep things off" against us.  Freo exposed our archilles heal also, lack of pace through the midfield. When the game is played on our terms, we get away with it but I believe we need another line breaker or 2 in the team. Finally, the umps had a poor game and too much influence on the game. If someone can explain to me the difference between the holding the balls decisions that went against us and resulted in goals to Freo and the numerous others exactly the same that are let go, you are a better man than me.

Horses for courses playing 2 rucks it's that simple, no need to complicate it. TDK is the No 1 ruck,  Pittonet only comes in when TDK injured or the opposition demands it. TDK' s next phase of development is to learn the skills that Gawn has which someone mentioned. I.e when you don't have the ball, block, shepherd, clear a path for the smaller players  Kreuzer was very good at this,  played like a ruck rover when the ball hit the ground. Very team oriented and smart. TDK yet to learn these aspects of the craft IMO.

I have the feeling that this is a danger game this week but I am not sure exactly why.  Maybe one reason is that North were 4-5 goals up against Freo in the 2nd quarter then missed 3 easy shots at goal that could have given them a bigger lead but they missed them all.
They played well in the first half.  But we are better than Freo?  Still, we need to start well coming off the bye worries me. 
Maybe it's the Clarkson factor that still haunts me?   Anyway, if we aspire to be a top four team, we need to put young developing teams like Norf to the sword and win and win well.
