Robert Heatley Stand / Re: Rd23 v Port Adelaide.
I was not confident of anything until last night.  At the end of footy classified they all did their "predictions" for this weekend, and every single one of them between Caro, Lloyd, Lyon and Hutchy wrote us off.

That means we are destined to win.  Why?  Because no one thinks we will and are making the mistake of overating Port.

Hartlett is out, Wingard got subbed off with a groin injury, I reckon they are cooked, and North wont beat Collingwood.

So, my result is that this is the environment in which our boys come out and make a statement.  Whatever happens, we will win this weekend.  The following week, we are a chance to beat both Collingwood and Richmond, although Collingwood have lifted it a cog or two over the last four weeks, and will dispose of North quite easily I think.

Im with you, i think they have hit their wall and with out harlett it makes it much worse.

I think finishing 8 or 5 is the box seat in the bottom 4 of the 8 as you avoid potentially interstate.  Massive Massive opportunity if they want to take it , get to the second week and at the least give it shake

Seriously Port are not that good.  Stop 3 players and they come to a complete standstill

Boak - Curnow

Wingard - 2E

Harlett and he is suspended.

We lose this and we are as bad as melb.

For me Bell and Robbo need to play and Robbo must be allowed to play like he played on the weekend.  Bell may be limited but splitting packs in half and doing what he did to Cotchin is invaluable also I believe that it alters the mindset of opposition teams

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: RD 21 : Blues Torture Tigers (Tiger-Taming Tweets)
Bell was doing a fair bit of grunt work in terms of  spoiling and ball winning in the clinches, which I think we benefited from. He just needs to improve his disposal which lets him down atm. I'm confident that will get some focus as he's very useful to have around the clearances and contested ball situations.

Also let's the opposition know he's there - ask Cotchin.

Cookie...Glad to see you could see what I saw with Tom Bell....his big body is a must for the senior team.

No-one is suggesting he doesn't throw some weight around (hell, its the one facet of his game that I really like) but you have to question his intellect when he tried to clean-up Cotchin and came off second best.

He takes the wrong options and then to compound that, his disposal is weak. I noticed a number of times his kicks were either well short of the leading player or completely over their heads, there were kicks that went skew-iff off the boot straight to Tigers players.

Either our people are not good teachers/communicators or he is too dumb to pick it up because he keeps making the same errors.

the guy has played 8 games give him some time to get used to the speed and game.

Robert Heatley Stand / Re: RD 21: Richmond v Carlton (Pre-game Prayers)
I think Richmond will go into reservation mode now they know they are playing finals.  They have missed out for too long now the thought of missing through injury will start to creep in to their mind.

I see some drastic changes as MM gives the impression enough is enough now and will start rolling the players in to get whatever he can till the end of the season.

Im saying a win, close with Richmond coming home in flurry.
