Actually, Buck's decision to move Darcy forward gave us the spark to stop Geelong's resurgence and enabled us to skip away. Without that move, and those brilliant efforts from Darcy, we probably lose.
Have to agree. She mayve been pretty ineffective for 3/4’s but again steadied the ship when required - amazing goal and GA wheh we were really under the pump.
Feel Like McKay and particularly Mimi kept trying to do a little too much - they are both very good and some of their teammates were letting them down so no diss on them, just hopefully they won’t feel that need and there’s much more team Collaboration in the future,
Slightly frustrated watching that third quarter! We seemed to make it very hard for ourselves and ran ourselves ragged for not enough result whereas they utilised it well when forward.
The Daicos fawning is unbelievable. Not sure why Hamish and Goyder kiss his arse so much but the more they do it the more people will Dislike Daicos! I mean how influential has The Bont been over his journey yet has come runner up a few times - don’t hear the bullcrap in the media about that like we do about Daicos. Give it a rest ffs.
And to add to that if the commentators were doing the Brownlow voting it would be Daicos 3 for every game! I have listened to them commentate him and they treat everything he does as the best thing ever even when he literally is not even in the play! Don’t know why they in particular BT and Hamish have such hard ons for him but Rowell is an absolutely worthy winner as was Crippa.
Nice bloke is Matt Rowell but the voting was mystifying as it was when Greg Williams was dudded and had 40 plus possessions when Wanganeen won the medal. Nas should have got three votes for his 34 possession 4 goal match winning game in Rnd20 I think it was and how Rowell got three votes in games where he got less than 20 possessions was hard to fathom. I didnt care who won but the voting system has to change as the umpires get it way wrong too often imo.

I saw someone post on fb earlier that he commentated the game of where nas got 2 and Viney got 3 - sure NAS won it for them in the final few mins but the commentator said Saints were putrid for 3/4’s and Viney was very very good for Melbourne.
Personally didn’t watch any of those games in full so nfi personally but you can have 40 Possessions and them Be not as impactful as 20 Possessions that are.
I really don’t want Daicos to win. Sure he might be the best player ever in the history of the AFL but the amount of fawning over him by some commentators is absolutely nauseating - topped off with Hamish M saying the other night he’s his tip for it this year and he thinks he should’ve won it last 3 years in a row.
The amount of times they say his name commentating when he’s around but not in the play, is staggering.
I was looking at JSOSs Instagram last night and saw that Jack Martin was one of his groomsmen. So personal relationships might play a part.
Who knows, only they do.
Didn’t SOS recruit two of the best mates of either JSOS or Ben too? That were given a year and then flicked because they didn’t have the talent? Finbar I think?
Anyway it all feels like there’s bitterness involved - does SOS seem to be friendly with any of his ex teammates?
