I don't get all this touchy feely stuff with players at the song, what's its about?
Probably should be dropped but the ex VFL battler is an important player now and with
finals on the line I think he will survive with a warning only.

But EB, what f-wit imbecile with not much upstairs must it take to do that only weeks after a furore and supposed educational classes to all clubs? Our players are special at times. I know they are just footballers not rocket scientists but FFS are they adults or children?
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set

I didn’t notice anything at the time.  Has it been highlighted?

I thought that SOS’s ‘no d1ckheads’ policy and our emphasis on high standards was paying dividends.

I can’t really comment without seeing the incident but, coming so close after the Richmond groping, it would seem to be inexcusable.

Yep,  gets a week for failing to hear the message,  you gotta have standards.

Dow or Owies to fill that role for a week.

I have been in favour of playing two ruckmen but, as I said in the pre-game thread, I was concerned about going into the game with De Koning, Pittonet, Casboult and McKay.  My concerns were baseless and all four made solid contributions.  However, there are some issues.

Witts is an imposing figure and won the hitouts (and hitouts to advantage).  His contribution around the ground was negligible and he didn’t take a mark.  Pittonet was very competitive in the ruck contests but had minimal impact around the ground.  De Koning was beaten in ruck contests but was influential around the ground and as a high forward.  Casboult was used in the ruck more than I expected but wasn’t a success, apart from his marking.

Interestingly, Pittonet spent a third of the game on the bench and De Koning was rested for 25% of the game.  De Koning spent time as a forward when not in the ruck but Pittonet went from ruck to the bench.  Casboult gave De Koning a spell when Pittonet was off the ground.

I don’t know if that will be the model for future games but can we afford to have two players spending 25% and 33% of the game on the bench?  It probably isn’t a major factor with shortened quarters but would having two players on the bench for long periods upset our rotations and the ability of our midfielders to remain competitive?

Horses for courses, probably vs the better or bigger ruck units you would run both rucks and tap into their strengths.
So vs Collingwood who have a key player ruck in Grundy I'd go both, vs  a team like Geelong who have carp rucks I'd go one and have an extra mid on the bench.

Clubs treat players like kids, rocket scientists are in short supply.. Think Brisbane had a real one on their list a few years back..
We have seen how stupid players, wags etc have been with Covid-19.. look at Cotchins wife, those two clowns from Port and the kid from the Swans.
Players are treated like they are special, above the law and act that way.
Gibbons is important as a player now and will just get a warning imo.. He should get a week to set some standards but won't given we are borderline finals..

That particular photo shows Walsh with his hand on Setterfield's lemonade....... !?!?
Gibbons is to the left crouching a bit and the video guy is in front of him

Think Walsh just has his hand there, not in a Pervy way.

I agree unacceptable but what the tigers boys did was absolutely unacceptable, they kept groping Chol, Over and over.

Forget all the Gibbo stuff.

What i got out of the article was that we were one of the teams featured on the Amazon doco. Was anyone else aware of this?

I think GWS had been outed as being one, and Collingwood famously knocked Eddie McGuire back.

Yeah, I read of it back in March, I thought it was common knowledge.
