Vfl blues have won 6 of their last 8.

Fair effort considering our seniors get games.... :p

In all honesty I'm more interested in breeding a system based winning culture at this level.

There's some eligibility rules around finals for AFL listed players.
We currently sit just inside the Top 10
There are probably a few players a game or two shy of meeting that eligibility list. (Need to play a few more VFL games).

What's best for the club and player development long term...
Get these players into and playing VFL finals with a group on a positive run.
or
Give them a taste and a few games at senior level in a somewhat dysfunctional environment.
It should work in reverse for us. If you struggle your get dropped to the seniors....lol.

I don't mean to be offensive, but how in God's name did Denver Grainger-Barras get selected so high? I can't say that I've seen much of him before, but he reminded me more of Monahan last season, or Duffy this season. He doesn't look smooth, he's awkward and doesn't run to the right spots ...
Granted that he was useful last night, but ...

I think he has done his dash as a defender. Do we persevere with him as a forward? He ended up getting enough ball to be dangerous and he does leap well (although he doesn't always get close to it). His kicking ... his kicking reminded more of Percy Jones, to be honest.
Be a No from me on DGB, heard some unflattering stuff about his training attitude at Hawthorn and being full of himself.

God, he can turn gold in faeces! He did some great things, only to muck them up. I'd be be playing him forward, as we really don't have any marking forwards left at the moment, but he doesn't look to be the future.

Boyd pushing Cox off the ball was gold.

All this talk about us not playing "AFL standard blokes", can you believe that stiff is a premiership player!?! So yea, every side plays a banana or two.

I'm not sure he's ever going to play seniors anywhere again but don't mind him forward in the twos. If he had his kicking boots in he'd have had 5 or 6.

The moment I said in the game thread he was having a decent again, marks, 2 goals, he suddenly couldn't hit the side of a barn door from point blank range.

There's plenty of bananas with a premiership medal.

liam stocker was supposedly full of himself too, particularly after thr moves sos pulled to get him.  Thing is, the Hawks dont get rid of many players with questionable attitudes so its a buyer beware situation.
