Hawthorn mate of mine is far from confident and thinks hawks are pretenders.

Not sure i share the same view, but i'm happy to be proven wrong.

I'm not sure they're as good as we thought they'd be following the end of last season.
I think some teams may have put a bit of effort into working them out, and developing counter strategies.
I doubt that's us.
If we win, or play well tonight, it will be emotion based.
We'll see what type of commitment is displayed by some.
That will be a bit of a tell.

I did a ladder predictor about 20 minutes ago.
We can still make finals (albeit very unlikely) and this is probably the biggest game for us that will determine if we do as we'll possibly be taking their spot.

% will be a factor.

1 in a million chance......but....
