AFL Rd 21 2025 Pre Game Prognostications Carlton vs Fremantle

At Freo next Sunday at 17:10. Can they find a worse time for us? Honestly, the 'draw' is a joke!

With no 2nds game, telling who deserves to come in is going to be impossible.
Who to replace will be interesting as well. But can we play 4 quarters?

A freshen up for Cripps, recovering from the draining week of a great mate retiring, it's on the cards! ;)

I said pre-game this week that Doc retiring can go either way, it can be a boost or a burden, it turns out it looked like our blokes had already played that game to exhaustion. This week will be a relief.

If we wanted to undo the Dawks, we should have played endless repeat videos of what Clarkson did to Fev, not video highlights of Docs career. What Fev should have done on the day was put Franklin and Roughead in emergency with a knee to the back of the head! If Franklin and Roughead were men, they would have told Clarkson to feck off!

I wonder what you are watching sometimes.
We started slow. We played better from there. We won the last quarter and outscored them over the last 3.

In all honesty, it was an 'average' effort. No boost. No burden. Just middle of the road stuff.

Nothing i saw last night matches what you said here.

Freo with good rucks and midfield probably have us well covered, Id be playing some more kids and trying to find players for next season. We need a backpocket who can kick well and Id be giving Charleson a game, Saad and Acres can have a rest, both were terrible vs the Hawks.

Of those that haven't played yet, and haven't got themselves suspended, Charleson is probably next cab off the rank. He's been winning a fair bit of the ball in the VFL in recent weeks.

A smaller defender who can kick and defend (or at least stay in the same postcode) as his opponent would help.  Charleston, Boyd....oh, I forgot, Boyd isn't in the mates club so it will be the same old hacks making the same old errors and half arsed efforts against Freo.

Probably posted the following in the wrong spot, so here again: -

Can't understand why we have not been playing Jordan Boyd.  Regularly among our best in the VFL team.
Competitive, combative, can pass the ball to forwards.
Would be playing him on the wing (where he played his first AFL game) instead of Acres, or playing him back pocket with Matt Carroll on the wing.

Saad and acres can both have a long rest at seasons end as both should retire.

The game has moved past them and we need to as well.
