There seems to be some confusion about the criticism of Ollie's errors.

It's being assumed / inferred that the criticism means he played a bad game, but the assumption is very wrong.

I suspect some of those criticising Ollie for his errors will even give him votes!

It's no different to Walsh in the dying seconds of the Filth game, a huge error did not mean he played a bad game.

Just to dot point what im saying.  The vaccines were garbage the lockdowns not so much.
The statistical evidence of the efficacy for both lockdowns and vaccines is overwhelmingly positive, globally there are billions of tests cases for both, it's the great weakness in the anti-vax anti-lockdown position which just confirms all opinions are not equal.

Even more damning, are the statistics for the unvaccinated outcomes, pretty much any valid peer reviewed source shows the unvaccinated fell or had worse outcomes at massively higher rates to the vaccinated.

There are some scientific and specialist groups who remain anti-vax, but they have largely dropped the efficacy debate as it's a loser in any circle, they now choose to focus on the rare side-effects.

They know trying to debate that the vaccines weren't efficacious is like standing in front of an ocean while claiming water doesn't exist, so they won't even mention it out of the fear of lost credibility, but they remain happy to stoke those fires anonymously in social media. The have a generalised anti-vax position, some due to religion, maybe others due to trypanophobia.

For those getting stuck into hollads I'll say re watch quarter 1.

He set us up in a big way.

Until the 'heat' arrived in the 2nd half. Those of us who are critical of Ollie are not critical of his endeavour and effort. And we're not saying he's no good, or should not be out there. Simply observations of his inexperience in tight and physical situations. He's a ripper... with things to clean up on, especially hurting the opposition with his disposal, strengthening his body to stick tackles, surety by hand and foot in pressure situations... they'll come in time. But they're real shortcomings at present.

And everyone looked amazing in our first half, until the Go Dees brought the heat, then the wheat was sorted from the chaff.

I missed the game. I'd just like folks opinions....
Walsh racks up possessions and it's noticable. He's everywhere. He's influencing the game.

One of the things I've noticed watching VFL games when Binns is involved is... that I don't 'notice' him.
It surprises me when I look up the stat sheet at the end of the game and see he's had it so many times.

I'm guessing part of that is the coverage of games with less camera angles and the commentators not always calling the player in possession on long shots.

Was Binns 'noticable' last night?
Did he have a big influence on the game.

You couldn’t miss him Lods.  Not only did he bring his own ball, he did some great things with it and at both ends of the ground.

Sometimes his work didn’t go to plan, like the run from halfback to half forward that ended with a shanked kick, but was eye catching just the same.
