Robert Heatley Stand / Re: AFL Elimination Final 1 Pre Game Prognostications Carlton vs Sydney
Papley is the main threat as i don't rate Heeney and with Buddy out Weitering has any one tall covered but still my main concern is Longmire is a very experienced finals coach and he will like Lyon did a few weeks back want to turn the game in a scrap and i hope we are good enough under finals pressure to be able to find ways around it. These sorts of coaches are used to being the underdog and make life as hard as possible for the attacking team.

Much better for us the game being at G and not Marvel as its that much harder to flood.

Think Charlie and Harry wont have it as easy as many think and defensively the Swans play as a team and get numbers back to block space. Blokes like Martin, Motlop Cunningham and Owies will need to play big games and impact the scoreboard

Also as someone else mentioned need to play a defensive forward on lizard man and also watch Gulden very closely.

Swans wont be a push over and i hope we start well and get a buffer like Cats did to them in the GF as the longer the game gets with them in touch the harder it will be to draw away and i cant cope with a nail biter - not in our first final for 10 years!

I want to win the first final so bad hoping the players are the same!!!

I don't have Kennedy ahead of Dow at the moment.

Agree. Its fair enough for Dow to be forced to make room for Cerra or Walsh but not for Kennedy unless Dows form drops.

We are on a knife edges in terms of balance in getting the speed v contested players that run through the middle right and reckon having Hewitt Cripps and Kennedy all in at once when opposition teams get a run on is just too slow.

One of our main reasons we have got on this winning run is we are much faster across the ground and thats mainly due to the younger blokes holding down positions.

Dows no speed machine but he has that in close acceleration and side step that gives us that spurt out of congestion when games are close that i think is a massive plus.

More to gain coming into a finals campaign in a win like that than a comfortable soft win.

Boys will gain real belief that we can win multiple ways which is a good trait to have leading into finals.
Cripps was noticeably hurt and had minimum impact add in no cerra and no Walsh we had a second string midfield which makes the win considering the start and playing interstate all the better.

Be rapt if we get thru next week with no injures and get a few soldiers back - will be very hard to beat in the first final.

Amazing win. What a ride we are on.

Pleasuring thing is every week lately our top 6 or so players are a mixed bag which is great going forward.

I thought Dow Kemp TDK Fogerty were all very important players in the win.

Cripps second half was huge. TDK second half was surprising considering who he was up against. The kid stood up provided a forward target and was as desperate as anyone to win the contested ball. Had 17 touches - 14 contested.
Thought Hewitts form is back to what it was last year.
Add a fit Cerra Walsh McGovern and harry in that team and on our day in a final we can beat anyone.
Lid is off.

This reply says it all.

How many times do i need to show stats? Any danger you could read them??

Your mate has already proven that he doesn't understand them. You can't find them.

...and i'm the problem?  ::)

Spin spin spin. Why don’t you want to list them - you love posting never ending posts and now all of a sudden you can’t be bothered. Lol

Pit is a back up to TDK and that’s all he will ever be and the market interest and offers fielded supported that.

We get it you think he is under valued and that’s fine we all have players we like more then others for whatever reason but try and stop making out like everyone on here is a goose cause they don’t buy your way of looking at it.
Good night

I've summarised parts of it already. Its there for all to see on the AFL stats.

The TDK boosters always point to Pittonets shortcomings after the ruck contest, which is fair, but at the same time fail to acknowledge that TDKs numbers after the contest are nothing to write home about either.
About a month ago, TDK averaged 1 more disposal a game, and played 8% more game time. They were essentially averaging the same around the ground.

TDK gets more ball forward so his stats are a bit more skewed to marks on lead, inside 50's etc, but they are far from spectacular.

....which is why i continually bring up the fact that we can't carry 2 rucks who don't do enough around the ground.

Pittonet gets our mids first use 10% of the time more than TDK.

So the king of stats all of sudden doesn't want to show stats!! I wonder why..... LOL

That says it all.

End of story

No it doesn't how do you know the 18 less ruck contests were definitely not going to go to Advantage.

How do we know TDK wouldn't stop Marshall from kicking goals on him? Rucks go forward kick goals and defend.

Gawn, Marshall, English, Nankervis, Witts, Obrien, Jackson list goes on. Just have to defend and hit the scoreboard in AFL.

He knows everything mate!
