Jim Park Voting: Rd #4 Carlton vs St. Kilda April 25, 2015, 04:09:29 pm I haven't seen a single minute of this one, which is a huge pity. Hopefully we can repeat the does to the Meat Pies on Friday nightIt is time again to reward some lucky players for their hard work. There should be a considerably larger spread of votes as well, with a good win (though I am sure that at half time opinions would have been very different).Remember:[1] At least 3 players need to get a mention.[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player.[3] Give a rating of team performance. It can be anywhere from A+ to F. (I won't be an F this week! )[4] Votes must add up to 15. Time to reward OUR ANZAC Day heroes. Quote Selected
Re: Jim Park Voting: Rd #4 Carlton vs St. Kilda Reply #1 – April 25, 2015, 04:28:35 pm I don't normally vote when I don't see anything of the game. However, I do wish to put in my 2 cents worth under the circumstances.I have based my votes solely on the statistics, which is also something I usually avoid. But, for once, the stats tell a very positive story. There will be no reasonable explanations this week though, as every thought I have had comes only from the raw stats. I do apologize if my opinions vary considerably to those who were lucky enough to be at the Cake Tin, or were lucky enough to have Pay TV.Team: BI was tempted to give a B+, but with such a ineffective start I couldn't justify anything more.Votes:[3] Murphy[2.5] Cripps[2] Bell[2] Henderson[1.5] Everitt[1.5] Tuohy[1] Walker[1] Carrazzo[0.5] Wood Explanations:[3] Murphy 34 possessions, named BOG, winning the medal and getting 24 contested possessions, the 2nd most in Carlton records. 11 tackles to top it off.[2.5] Cripps More than 30 possessions, 23 of them contested (4th best ever for a Blue). [2] Bell Goals, possessions and judos from the scribes. I am sorry I missed this effort.[2] Henderson 5 goals and a dominant display on the forward line.[1.5] Everitt According to the stats, Everitt was our 2nd best performer. His possessions hit the target.[1.5] Tuohy 25 possessions, marks tackles and even a couple of goals.[1] Walker Lots of ball.[1] Carrazzo Considering that he had hardly got hold of the ball in the first half, he ended up high in the possessions. he also had a defensive job, which was excellent after half time (his man had very few touches after half time).[0.5] Wood Lots of taps and 16 possessions suggests he did pretty well.Honourable Mentions:I cannot say which of rest deserve a mention, so I will leave this blank this week. if I had to suggest someone I would suggest Blaine Boekhorst, who started well, but ran out of gas and Dennis Armfield, who had 10 possessions after half time.
