Be interesting to see if European leaders share Trumps opinion on Zelensky and watering down Nato's numbers on Russian borders to placate Putin into peace. Id be suggesting they wont go along with any of those ideas and Trump trying to make political milage out of Ukraine and selling them out for the title of peacemaker extraordinaire wont be happening.
Countries like Poland and Finland have been increasing military spending and clearly have no faith or confidence in any Trump peace offering or Putin keeping his word and its a delicate situation where Nato europe has to decide on if to keep supporting Ukraine or take the Trump route by selling them out and also risk Russia trying its luck with another ex USSR state after they have retooled their war machine.

That's completely bogus claim, dribble, propaganda, generally propagated by those promoting hatred of a democratically elected President who happens to be Jewish, the first ever Jewish President of the Ukraine.

By repeating it you have become a pawn for Putin.

Zelenskyy achieved majority through two rounds of voting, in the 1st round he achieved about a 1/3rd of the total vote which was far more than any other candidate, in the 2nd round which was a vote between two candidates he polled more than 70%, more than double of his opponent who had tried to label Zelenskyy as a Russian sympathiser! :o

I think that Trump has gone beyond now, and his shills are about do some real damage.

There is a deep-seated rumour that Mr Putin has some 'dirt' on dear Donald that might surface if things don't go to Vlad's liking (perhaps it's info on how the 2016 election went so well for a clear outsider in the betting odds...?)

Certainly, the POTUS seems only too keen to parrot the Russian line about the Ukraine war, and all of his envoys seem very buddy-buddy with their Russian counterparts while hanging Ukraine out to dry.  Added to that, the new Director of National Security in the USA is known to be a Russian sympathiser.

So when they depict the Republican states with a 'Red' colour on the electoral college maps, perhaps that is more appropriate than most people imagine?

It appears we are fast approaching troubled waters......

Russia has regularly interfered with elections in neighbouring states so they can install puppets that jump to the Kremlin's call (try Belarus.....)

That's the Russian way - anyone in opposition to them is overthrown, left to rot in a Siberian jail, or has an unfortunate fall from a 6th floor carpark.

Shawny, Zelensky is a relatively cleanskin politician imho and selecting a comedian/actor to run your country probably wouldnt fly in many Western countries even though a lot of our politicians would probably qualify as comedians/entertainers by default rather than by design.
My SIL is from a Ukrainian background and my family have visited both Ukraine and Russia all be it a while back and Zelensky was elected because of a poorly performing economy and promised reforms from the previous president not happening in what I would see as a protest vote rather than the public having any real confidence in Zelensky with his lack of political background.
Zelensky had some billionaire Jewish mate who fled the country after getting himself into trouble but he doesnt seem to have many skeletons floating around in the cupboard.
Im not sure of his Presidential skills in non wartime but he has grown into the job during this war with Russia and hasnt been frightened to pull a few levers and make changes when required and his political skills will be tested again with how he deals with Trump and his pro Putin attitudes.
As Tonyo suggested Russia like to interfere with ex Russian states elections and help install pro Russian Officials so I can understand Zelensky deregistering those parties and banning them from contesting elections etc.
Its surprised me Putin has survived given  many of his own provinces despise him like Siberia where he has pillaged their industry and sucked dry all their manufacturing and mineral wealth and turned the place into a wasteland of dead factories etc.
Its a collision course with European leaders who support Zelensky and Trump who wants a return to better world economic conditions and profits for the USA and I cant see it ending anytime soon unless Trump completely pulls the plug on military aid to Ukraine and leaves them defenseless.

Fair enough and by the sounds of it Trump has made false accusations and shown his cards in supporting Putin in his attempt to try find a conclusion to this war as he promised he would in the lead up to the election.

I listen to several podcasts and really enjoy joe rogan and tucker Carlson (done worry im not afraid of the labelling coming my way in admitting who i listen to- couldnt care less) and both these guys claim he is no cleanskin and took out his political opponents which was in line with the stories i have heard hence why i asked the question. Then again i know both are trump supporters and the guys i know also had a lot of resentment of their birth country so who knows how much of what they claim is skewed.

Very hard to know who to believe these days to get accurate no bias information. As usual appreciate your non judgmental thoughts mate.
