Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan make profitable stories, most of it fiction, they do not make much hard news at all and most of the news they claim to make is often a trivialised repeat of somebody else's hard work.

As Paul Keating put it, they like to Gild the Lily, as others put it They Polish Turds!

I've seen too many friends and relatives following these cognitive rapists only to become depressed when they realise how they have been lied to, how much of their life has been wasted listen to investing in the fanciful theories of those screeching parrots. Some can't accept they been deceived, I suspect it's a pride thing, and so they commit to digging a deeper hole before going back to watch Judge Judy or MAFS.

It was interesting watching Macron make mincemeat out of Aurangzeb.  The pouting lip and disinterested gaze really doesn’t cut it when your visiting head of state fact checks you in front of your own largely sycophantic media.

Then there’s the newly elected German chancellor giving it to Aurangzeb, the Musk Rat and Shady Vance.  Belgium also had a crack.  NATO looks like it’s dead in the water but the EU and the UK seem prepared to stand up to the US/Putin alliance.

Approval levels are at an all time low for any president and demonstrations are gathering momentum.  Inverted Stars and Stripes flags are being flown at national parks across the country and the US flag code specifically says that the flag is not to be inverted “except as a signal of dire distress in instance of extreme danger to life or property.”

The only question I have is why didn’t those so vehemently opposed to Aurangzeb and Muskrat now make the effort to vote in the presidential elections.

They probably did vote...for Trump.
Some Trump voters are doing 180's after losing their jobs..
Which begs the question.. "Is it wise to piss off a lot of federal workers, some very competent with firearms.

Interesting vote at the UN where the US sided with Russia.
Also voting right along with them was Israel...
The Palestinians probably shouldn't get too settled with the current ceasefire.

Also joining Russia and the USA in the new Axis of Evil was Belarus, Hungary and North Korea.

Contrast Aurangzeb’s sycophantic toadying to Putin with the solidarity of the European leaders meeting in Kyiv.

Trying to find logic in the illogical entity that is the current US administration is sometimes difficult.
The things that come out of Trump's mouth often end up as a watered down version of the things he says he will do.
It's the old Salesman's opening price.
But he often ends up on the wrong side of the bargain
I doubt he'd go well in Bali
He'd pay ridiculous prices for Bintang T shirts and singlets.

I'm trying to follow this, although the details are still sketchy.
Trump and Zelensky are going to sign a mineral deal that will see benefits flowing to the USA
This is being presented as payment for money and arms already delivered to Ukraine by the US
It does not offer future guarantees of Ukraine security.

Here's where things get a little fuzzy.
If Russia takes over more areas of Ukraine, especially those containing mineral deposits, doesn't that mean the Russians will get them and the US wont.
Isn't that enough to ensure US support and security for unoccupied areas of Ukraine.
Maybe someone has a better understanding of the situation.

Not at all, but it probably puts the USA behind China in the pecking order.

Russia is like Australia, they don't add much value to stuff they just mine it, much of what Russia mines will head to China or Europe for further processing.

As for the USA, Israel, Russia stance, it's not hard to understand in this context, oil!

The mineral deal is pretty pointless if the Ukranians don't have them to give.

Russia control Ukrainian land that has about 40% of Ukraines mineral wealth , the rare earths however are well inside Ukrainian held positions further inside Ukraine.
The USA import 70% of their rare earths from China...hence they have a problem, their own reserves are very low. Rare earths, are vital for the key military players as they are used to make magnets that operate under high temperature found in electric vehicles, weaponry and electronics.
The evidence for Ukraine having rare earths at all is derived from reports that are at least 50 years old that were conducted by Russia so do they have them? Mines take a long time to build and its complex with rare earths of the heavy variety, someone is going to have to build the mines and supply the tech knowledge.
Lot of if's and buts imo and I cant see China letting Trump get those rare earths without a fight and stepping up supplies to Russia and trying to snooker the USA in other mineral wealth areas around the world like Africa etc.

When Biden took over it thought he was a senile old fool.

Trump is looking no better.

That country is on a hiding to nothing politically.

Hmmm Ukraine minerals deal is cooked after Trump and JD Vance thought Zelensky disrespected USA in the Oval and should be 'more grateful'.  They dressed him down like a naughty boy.  Putin will be grinning from ear to ear.

These guys are absolute cowboys.  It looked like a scene from The Apprentice.....
This is now the longest premiership drought in the history of the Carlton Football Club - more evidence of climate change?

So, Putin has another two sock puppets to add to Lukashenko.

What pathetic excuses for President and Vice-President  ::)

Embarassing bully boys is a term that comes to mind. ::)

Trump has slagged Zelensky off for weeks and then has the nerve to call him 'disrespectful'.
Vance is like that brute that comes along to add a bit of muscle (head).
The sort of behaviour you'd expect to see in a bar room and not the Oval office.

The whole thing was orchestrated by Trump while Zelensky was on a hiding to nothing he fell into the trap. He and his advisers should have been prepared for the televised ambush as Trump had been laying the groundwork since those early calls to Putin. To be kicked from the White House is brutal while Trump and Vance would've been high fiveing.
