Jim Park Voting: Rd 20: Carlton vs St Kilda

This week I see live, thank God, as I am tired of not seeing games.

Remember:
[1] At least 3 players need to get a mention.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player.
[3] Give a rating of team performance. It can be anywhere from A+ to F.

One of our worst offerings for the year. We were off the boil and could not apply the pressure that wins games. And this on top of solving many of the strategic issues from the last time we met.

Explanations:
[3]   Cripps:   32 possessions, 6 tackles, a couple of goals and lots of clearances.
[3]   Ed Curnow:   Took out Jack Steven totally and still got the ball himself.
[2.5]   Simpson:   39 possessions with Simmo’s and carry would normally be a BOG performance. However, Simmo was a lot less effective than he normally is and turned the ball over a lot.
[2.5]   Tuohy:   3 goals from deep defence and a lot of possessions. Good effort.
[1.5]   Docherty:   Like Simmo, Docherty was wayward with the ball this week. It hurt an otherwise excellent effort in defence.
[1.5]   Gibbs:   Excellent in the middle with Cripps. 7 tackles and worked hard.
[0.5]   Jack Silvagni:   Couldn’t buy a possession in the forward line, as we had no idea how to get it near him. Instead he had to come to where the ball was, and he did with dash and class and real endeavour.
[0.5]   Casboult:   Dominated his opponents in the air, but was slow to move and think and terrible by foot.

Honourable Mentions:
Kreuzer:   Good at the centre bounce, but couldn’t find the ball otherwise.
Phillips:   Like Kreuzer, he did good work with the taps, but he couldn’t find the ball otherwise.
