Re: 2017 Jim Park Medal Analysis: Reply #30 – June 18, 2017, 09:07:48 pm Rd 12: Carlton vs GWSWhat a win! The 2nd bottom team defeats the top team. Doesn't happen often, so I will enjoy it!Notes:[1] The rating, 9.78, is the largest we've had since we were in the finals. This represents a comfortable A-. We may be 18 months into the biggest rebuild in our history, but the players are already showing what it is to beat good teams.[2] We had 17 vote getters this round. 17! That sort of performance all over the field is very encouraging. [3] 23 people voted for this game. That is as many as for the corresponding game last year and among the best for the year. If we produce the effort, we may get more people voting.[4] Looking at our youngsters, there were some solid performances, but the highlight is probably Liam Jones, who played his best ever game for Carlton. Like Alex Silvagni a few weeks back, Jones was not expected to be ABLE to produce like this. His recruiting was roundly criticized (not the least by me). Well, the guy might look similar, but he played totally differently and deserved every vote he got.Votes:Kreuzer, Matthew 404Docherty, Sam 364Jones, Liam 185Gibbs, Bryce 128Murphy, Marc 117Plowman, Lachlan 60Cuningham, David 49Marchbank, Caleb 43Thomas, Dale 23Simpson, Kade 19Wright, Matthew 19Curnow, Edward 15Cripps, Patrick 13Weitering, Jacob 11Silvagni, Jack 9Casboult, Levi 6Curnow, Charles 4Kreuzer and Docherty really gathered some votes here.Progressives:2165 - Murphy, Marc (0)2130 - Kreuzer, Matthew (0)1762 - Docherty, Sam (0)1180 - Cripps, Patrick (0)995 - Gibbs, Bryce (0)595 - Simpson, Kade (0)558 - Curnow, Edward (0)538 - Plowman, Lachlan (0)475 - Wright, Matthew (0)427 - Marchbank, Caleb (0)405 - Rowe, Sam (0)398 - Silvagni, Alex (0)387 - Casboult, Levi (0)295 - Petrevski - Seton, Sam (0)228 - Silvagni, Jack (0)193 - Curnow, Charles (0)186 - Jones, Liam (0)140 - Weitering, Jacob (0)102 - Williamson, Tom (0)80 - Cuningham, David (0)77 - White, Simon (0)58 - Thomas, Dale (0)33 - Fisher, Zac (0)27 - Macreadie, Harrison (0)20 - Graham, Nick (0)3 - Pickett, Jarrod (0)Kreuzer has just about caught Murphy at the top and they have cleared out ahead of Docherty.
