I'll vote properly in a moment, but the most significant people on the ground were the Umpires. They made more impact on the game than anyone else, by a long way.

I cannot consider a higher score, and I seriously considered a much lower one while my adrenaline was flowing. There were a lot of thing we did right and were not rewarded for. Our coaching was ordinary. Our skills were ordinary, especially from some of our more skilled players. Not enough people did enough for long enough, but I don’t think any of our players were comprehensively beaten. Our midfield promises much but delivers little and when they fail our defenders and forwards suffer.
Our confidence level is so low I find it hard to suggest we can win any other games.

Votes:
[3]   Patrick Cripps
[2]   Sam Walsh
[2]   Levi Casboult
[1.5]   Charlie Curnow
[1.5]   Ed Curnow
[1]   Kade Simpson
[1]   Nick Newman
[1]   Caleb Marchbank
[1]   Dale Thomas
[0.5]   Jack Silvagni
[0.5]   David Cuningham

Explanations:
[3]   Patrick Cripps:   Cripps probably won’t get votes, not when the Umpires ignore him being held 99% of the time. His disposal was also not at its best today, and he really needs to get this goal kicking right.
[2]   Sam Walsh:   Another excellent performance from a great recruit. His ability to run and work should be a model for the older guys who don’t do it. However, his kicking was a little wobbly today.
[2]   Levi Casboult:   Did the job well at CHB
[1.5]   Charlie Curnow:   Won just about every single one on one battle, Charlie probably played his best game of the season. However, he is still a long way from his best.
[1.5]   Ed Curnow:   Ed was brilliant early but had patches afterwards. He didn’t stop trying.
[1]   Kade Simpson:   Solid in defence, but still some way from his best. Still, he was encouraging today.
[1]   Nick Newman:   There were time when Newman was brilliant, but other times when he lost the plot. Still, we are better with him there than not.
[1]   Caleb Marchbank:   Again, not at his best, but he was much improved and was solid and effective in defence.
[1]   Dale Thomas:   Daisy had some really good patches but lacked consistency today. He did his job well in defence.
[0.5]   Jack Silvagni:   What could have been. Jack was robbed today, but he still played for the jumper when others didn’t or couldn’t. If only he could get a free kick.
[0.5]   David Cuningham:   Too patchy, but when he was hot, he almost made us win the game.

Honourable Mentions:
Matthew Kreuzer:   Today he missed a big opportunity: he couldn’t dominate against a journeyman. He also couldn’t get the clearances he usually gets.
Michael Gibbons:   Not enough at all, but at least he kicks straight and knows where the goals are.
Harry McKay:   Harry beat his man almost every time, but he just didn’t get into the game enough.

Never going to be a good team unless we have 3 or 4 mids - every week - in our best half dozen.
Finals, then 4 in a row!
