Re: General Discussions

The anthropomorphising that surrounds AI is such a joke, social media and media discussions about the morality of AI have already lost the debate and the plot the moment they started a discussion on morality.

An AI does not know the difference between morally right or wrong, between legal and illegal, there is no empathy, no pain, no guilt and no emotion.

AI is given a problem to solve, or a target to achieve, and intrinsically the AI contains no knowledge of how to go about it legally or morally, only a known Starting point and an end goal. Any apparent or perceived limits are externally supplied by those who create it, and even then the AI is a black box mystery to the creator.

If stealing your life savings or exposing your private information is part of the solution, AI won't be hesitating, won't have doubt, won't delay while waiting for a social clearance to proceed and won't feel bad or guilty about events later.

What privacy you cherish, the secrets you keep personal, the wealth you have built, is just a building block in the AI attempt to find a solution to the current problem whatever that problem might be.

An associate mentioned the other day, the big existential crisis AI is about to face is raising to funds to continue development, e-commerce and financial markets will be destroyed in the process of dining a solution, whole economies might suffer, so keep a little cash on hand because the one thing AI cannot do is physically reach into your pocket.
