So HIS problem is he doesn't live up to YOUR expectations?

Perhaps he is not the issue?

He is responsible for the first goal.
He would've had the last if not for Martin taking it away.
He had a free against him just before that that gets played once in 100 tackles.

Watch him without the ball.
He blocks, he shephards he makes space for teammates.
He is not having a great game sure, but he is not doing a fev and giving up, he is still doing the little things to try and work himself into the game.

Enough with the excuses.

He took the big coin so he is open to criticism. He has one effective disposal till half time. One!!!

It’s great he is trying but time to deliver what your being paid for. Or save the $700k and play a little leaguer. He will try as well.

Kruddler would u say  McGovern has been worth the investment ?  both money wise and what we gave up to get him?

You might remember that i was always in Daisy Thomas corner since his recruitment.
That took years to pay off, but it did. Now you get people pining for Daisy.

Gov will be similar. Long term he will be a great pickup, it looks dodgy now, but its just a matter of time.

3 weeks ago i had to defend Harry because people were wanting to trade him out. I showed he was ahead of JK at the same stage of their career. Since then he has dominated and made a few people look silly.

Gov will do that, might not be today, or potentially this year, but don't right him off.

FWIW, he's only had 2 touches in the first half
but....
2 score involvements
1 goal assist
2 tackles inside 50
1 inside 50 entry
1 intercept
3 contested possessions

So he has still contributed despite barely touching it.

Early advantage squandered and Nth right back in it. Cripps being held and we are no longer dominating the clearances.
Reality always wins in the end.

Ones 25, ones 40, the 40 year old has won more games of his own boot than Gov has had hot dinners. Back in the old days, he would have been thrown a robe, told to shower and watch from the bench.
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time
2025-Carlton can win the 2025 AFL Premiership

at 1/4 time we were winning the clearances 9 - 3. Cripps had 0.

We now lead the clearances 22 - 10. Cripps has 1.

Not sure on either of those counts

there have also been at least 2  errors that have cost us as well you forgot to mention them , i hope  your right and in the future we can look back and say we judged him harshly  i have my doubts though,  if Charlie Curnow can ever get on the park where does that leave  McGovern???

I tend to judge from watching the game not looking at numbers, apart from maybe the scoreboard. We killed them in Q1, not so much in Q2. They are creating more out of the centre than we are now.
Reality always wins in the end.
