Very ordinary by Khawaja. Only one not to play shield to get it right, can't field for 30 overs - no way could he be fit and it's not like he does a lot of work in the field - he would have known.

Once again the batsmen filled their shorts. Stokes put himself on and made the Aussies look like backyard cricketers, ends up with 5 for SFA.

Four years to get ready for this series and they look underprepared....opening pair is a mess, batting looks stale and mentally weak, and bowling (Starc aside) looks at sixes and sevens...same as last year, mugged in the first test by a better prepared side.

Starc seems to be improving with age and Doggett had a good debut … but what’s with the batting?

Smith knew that there was going to be an issue with Khawaja and was calling for him to get back on the field. You can’t blame the batting debacle entirely on Khawaja’s back spasms disrupting the order but it didn’t help 🙄

Media trying to beat up the RTS decision controversey, but the reality is using Hawkeye at 350 frames/second each frame equals a meter of travel in the sound of a snick on an edge. That is why the distance between the edge and the RTS microphone should always cause at least a one frame delay.

If the RTS detects a sound when the ball is on the bat the sound probably occured ahead of the contact when the ball was 1 meter away ahead of the vision.

The techs do their best to calculate the delay and adjust, but it's not perfect, and they do not have infitnitely fine adjustment.
