Re: AFLW off-season - Signing, trades, draft.... Reply #30 – June 03, 2022, 12:19:40 pm If as an AFLW fan you take a global view, you could be forgiven for coming to the conclusion that being part of a clique plays a far far bigger and more important role in AFLW player trade and movement than many other aspects of list management and decision making. But would you be wrong? To me it paints the AFLW as still a bit amateur, a bit part-time, but in fairness I suppose they are really. Quote Selected

We now have picks 17 ( 8 ), 25 (13) and 28 (15). Quote Selected

Age works differently in the womens game.Last year we lost Tayla Harris.....we basically replaced her with Nic Stevens. This year we lost Nic Stevens....we basically replace her with McWilliams. We do have a couple kids/developing players for the long term, so its a good pickup. Re: AFLW off-season - Signing, trades, draft.... Reply #37 – June 03, 2022, 09:55:21 pm Our main targets last season were Vescio, Stevens and Jones. Next season it will be Vescio, McWilliams, Jones and, hopefully, Gibbs, plus Moody and Good (who were there last season of course). That’s a more potent forward line, but we’re going to need some grunt in the midfield to get the ball into our forwards. Quote Selected

Have matching tattoos on their feet that says so.When looking of these rumours of Maddy p to essendon started, the first thing I said was to make sure we made gee happy as that was what we needed to keep Maddy.Bombers were smart and nabbed them both. It shows how desperate we've been that we've had to play her at ff.Last season she was supposed to play up the ground, but perhaps Gibbs sitting out the year changed those plans on us. Quote Selected
Re: AFLW off-season - Signing, trades, draft.... Reply #44 – June 04, 2022, 08:32:56 pm I can't imagine us improving this year. We've lost what 5 of our starting line up? We bought in 2 average players, one at the very end of her career. The club now expects us to get excited about a few higher picks in a watered down draft. I don't get it. Quote Selected
