AFLW - Mia Austin out for the year

Our first round pick who showed some good signs in her first 2 games......season over.

CARLTON forward Mia Austin will be sidelined for the remainder of the AFLW season after suffering a serious leg injury at training.

Austin broke her fibula and suffered an ankle syndesmosis injury during a match simulation session with her teammates on Thursday night.

Scans on Friday revealed the extent of the injury, ruling the 18-year-old out for the rest of the season.


Can't catch a break.

Not a great start to the weekend, but hopefully we can find a solution until Austin is back.

Footy gods, we've gone through years of pain, this injury curse bestowed on our footy club must end surely?
