VFL 2024 Rd 3: Carlton vs Collingwood at Ikon Park

We play the meat pies this Sunday 14:05 at Ikon Park.

Interested to see what sort of line-up we can manage to field. Not many senior players remaining.

No Cincotta, no Big Durds. :(
From the VFL lads, Ned Cahill is a big in. Kristian Ferranato named for his first game for us as well at 206 cm Flynn Riley.
Darcy Hogg is an emergency.
10 AFL blues named, but that includes Akuei, Monahan and Harry Lemmey.

The image didn't come out. Try this: a link to today's line-up. You will note that there is no Marchbank and now Pitto isn't there. Cupboard looking quite bare. :(

Very entertaining game. Both sides really going for it.

Likes:  Binns, Cowan, Moir, O'Keefe, Young. Monahan coming along nicely.

Dagpies came out strong after half time and opened up a 2 goal lead - the biggest of the game. 11 lead changes. Very entertaining game.

Pain in the clacker to watch... I've got the sound through the AFL link and picture through Edge! Through the AFL link (Firefox is my default browser) it is stop start buffering, whereas through Edge the picture is good but runs a little slow... running both browsers together fixes the Edge slowness!

Dom Akuei has 2 possessions up to 3/4 time. :( He's gone backwards, as there were times last year when he looked like he had promise.
Sorry to see Billy Wilson off injured: probably concussed. :((
7 possessions to Moir, but he has been in it. A long way to go, alas.

Monahan hasn't done a lot: he's very much learning the caper.

Moir has been moved to the backline to cover for the loss of Akuei.
