Killer Whales were swimming alongside the SeaRoad Ferry this morning as it made its way to Queenscliff.  What an experience for the passengers!
It's still the Gulf of Mexico, Don Old!

Nothing better to see.

Amazing the array of animals we get in the bay, a few years back we stopped off at Geelong Pier on the way back from Queenscliff and got to see some Risso's Dolphin swimming around the pier. At first people thought they were Killer Whales because the big male had a dorsal that was so tall and straight, apparently if an adult male spends most of it's time in open ocean as opposed to hanging around the cost line it's normal for a dorsal to develop tall and straight. However up close it was clear they were Risso's as they had that grey marbled appearance.
