VFL practice match ?

Are we playing a practice match this weekend ? If so, when and where ?

Given it's Rnd 2 I doubt it.

There are 21 teams, somebody, at least one team has a bye every week. Due to the interstate schedules and AFL conflicts, some weeks up to 5 or more sides have a week off.

The earlier discussion was that we usually had a friendly hit out against either another VFL team with a bye or an u18 squad.
We really need our boys to be playing every week to build fitness and cohesion.
Let’s go BIG !

Use all our fresh tyres in practise, not sure there is anything to gain given our current injury list and the remaining length of the season.

The VFL season with it's 21 teams is somewhat asymmetrical anyway, you can live and die just by the draw.

I thought the Dishlickers VFL side and ours (both have a bye this w/e), were playing this w/e?

I haven't been able to find a copy of the full draw, and I can't be bothered going round by round on the AFL site, but I suspect there are VFL games shifted around to try and make 20 games(one per opponent) fill a full season.

As I mentioned in this week's VFL thread, we're playing the Dogs. The game is at Footscray, start at 16:05.

No idea as to who is playing, but Denver Grainger-Barass, who had been in Perth playing for Swan Districts, has been named in our 2025 VFL squad. I have no idea what that means.

Apparently the dogs pulled out.   We played an intra-club.  H and Lij both played
