Jim Park Voting 2025 AFL Rd 5 Carlton vs West Coast in Adelaide April 11, 2025, 07:48:04 pm Voting is as usual: you have 15 votes to award pretty much as you will, with the following provisos:[1] 15 votes in total, no more, no less.[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player (even Sam Walsh or Patrick Cripps)[3] Three players at least must get a mention.[4] A grade for the game, A+ (what I want to see) to F-.I must admit, I haven't voted for last round yet. I haven't looked at the game. Quote Selected

Re: Jim Park Voting 2025 AFL Rd 5 Carlton vs West Coast in Adelaide Reply #8 – April 13, 2025, 05:19:06 pm AFL Rd 5: Carlton vs West CoastThe only problem with giving votes this week is that too many players deserve a mention. It is the first time this year that we’ve dominated a game, put in 4 quarters, out-scored the opposition for each quarter and had winners all over he ground.Granted, it could have been better if we’d been able to make the most of our dominance, but I’ll take it.Team: AI can’t give any lower for a 12-goal win with what we’ve got available.Votes:[2.5] Sam Walsh[2.5] George Hewett[1] Adam Cerra[1] Patrick Cripps[1] Corey Durdin[1] Mitch McGovern[1] Charlie Curnow[1] Adam Saad[1] Jacob Weitering[0.5] Jack Silvagni[0.5] Matt Cottrell[0.5] Jesse Motlop[0.5] Nick Haynes[0.5] Ollie Hollands[0.5] Sam DochertyExplanations:[2.5] Sam Walsh: 37 possessions, 3 goals, 5 clearances and 1 tackle. A brilliant game.[2.5] George Hewett: 39 possessions, 8 marks, 8 clearances and 1 tackle. A Cripps-lie game.[1] Adam Cerra: Not the best start, but a great finish. 27 possessions, 5 clearances and 5 tackles.[1] Patrick Cripps: A slowish start, but 23 disposals, 3 goals 3, 6 clearances, 2 taps and having to play key forward and ruck, what can you say?[1] Corey Durdin: Durdin’s most effective game to date. 11 disposals for 4 goals. Welcome back.[1] Mitch McGovern: Mitch had a couple of brain fades, but he managed to get a little confidence and a lot of the ball. 23 possessions.[1] Charlie Curnow: 2 goals 4: could have been so much more, as only one was touched. 9 marks and 14 possessions from key forward.[1] Adam Saad: An excellent 200th game where Saad’s kicking and running were very much on show.[1] Jacob Weitering: A colossus in defence. Impenetrable.[0.5] Jack Silvagni: Deserves more then 0.5 votes with a dominant effort in defence.[0.5] Matt Cottrell: His best game for the year; 19 good possessions.[0.5] Jesse Motlop: Quiet early, but much better when moved onto the ball. Looked much more dangerous.[0.5] Nick Haynes: His best game for us so far. Held his marks, didn’t panic and got the ball 21 times. Totally different to the guy who lost us Rd 1.[0.5] Ollie Hollands: Another solid game from Ollie. Did a job well.[0.5] Sam Docherty: Not his bets game, but he got it 22 times and didn’t butcher the ball.Honourable Mentions:Matt Carroll: Matt was good early, but as the game wore on, he drifted out of it. Not that the ball was there often. Made one mistake, looked comfortable and kicked pretty well. Will White: 15 possessions from a small forward isn’t bad, but his kicking was still not what we want. Still, he did some nice things and kicked his first goal.Tom de Koning: Struggled in the ruck, with 2 possessions in the first half. After half time, he was much better.Cooper Lord: 15 good possessions and a solid game.Zac Williams: Still promising more than he delivers, but his field kicking was brilliant. Should have had a couple of goals. Quote Selected

Re: Jim Park Voting 2025 AFL Rd 5 Carlton vs West Coast in Adelaide Reply #14 – April 18, 2025, 10:34:23 am A much better response than last round's. I'll leave this thread open for late comers for a little longer. Please do vote if you have an opinion. The more people who vote, the better our stats actually represent what happened. Quote Selected
