H received a free for a bloke jumping on his back and riding him into the ground - we kicked a critical goal from it.  Personally I thought it was HTB, but technically shouldn't the Cats player get a holiday if Curtis did?
Another rule the AFL has totally ****** up.
No way, jumped square into his number, free kick every day of the week. Problem is, it happens a lot but they dont pay them anywhere near often enough.
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time
2025-Carlton can win the 2025 AFL Premiership

That’s the problem; letting blatant pushes in back go encourages players to tackle incorrectly and that leads to the Curtis tackle and suspension.
It's still the Gulf of Mexico, Don Old!

The bigger problem is letting coaches have a say in the development of rules, they always drive the debate to suit a loophole or a player that will give them a tactical advantage.

The Scotts are the classic example, the twins always worked at the edge of what was legal, that's how those two fat hobbits managed to curtail some of the AFL's best KPPs!

Cerra, Silvagni and Williams are likely outs with Docherty and Young likely to come in along with Cowan.

Cerra's penalty downgraded to a fine. Free to play the Crows.

He'd be happy with that, but seriously I'd challenge the fine on principle.

Blokes should not be able to launch themselves at you then claim foul play if they stumble into your block. We saw a stupid suspension in NRL last season, NAS at the Storm got three weeks for basically being 7ft tall. An opponent in the last round basically charged flat out and headbutted NAS in the shoulder.

If this sort of suspension / fine is allowed to persist opposition clubs will use it as a tactic to remove key opponents from the finals. If they are up against a potential future opponent in the last round they can put a spud in to basically be the sacrificial lamb.

Sanity has prevailed. Restores some of my confidence in the people in charge and the Tribunal. The MRO is a mess though.

Great, now we will play him when he appears to be carrying a niggle, he hurts himself and is out for 4 weeks longer.  :-[

Yep
He was struggling late in the game.
A week off may have been the best thing for him.
I reckon he might not even play.
But I guess the appeal was more about going in to bat for the player.

As far as I could tell, he didn't receive any treatment other than drinking the old pickle juice. I therefore assume it may have been cramp.

It may have been. We'll have to wait and see.

They didn't try to hide him in that last quarter as you would do with an injured player, just to help with rotations. When we came back on, he was right back into the heat. Also, his body language coming off and on the bench wasn't that of a player who just realised he was going to be out for multiple weeks.

I saw Cerra grab at his groin late in the game, went off holding it and in some discomfort. I have since read he may have injured it. I also read SOS hurt his hand. Haynes hurt his shoulder so we may miss a few net week.

is there a chance he grabbed it, to try to have an excuse for the worst snap at goal in recent history??
