For me I think Jack would be super.  What about a joint Jack and Cerra?

Offer TDK VC.

Maybe Weiters, he’s a great speaker but I can’t help but wonder if he’s looking much more into the future into a career at the top of the AFL. He seems extremely intelligent to me.

Jack ticks a lot of the boxes.
The one concern I have is his durability
Injuries have played a fair part in his career and he's struggled to get a full season in

Jack would be a good option too, but probably too old by the time it would be ready for him.

You couldn't ask for a more dedicated Carlton bloke though

The only thing Id be offering TDK is a spot in the twos if (a) his form doesnt improve and (b) if he doesnt tell me this week if he is staying or going.
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time
2025-Carlton can win the 2025 AFL Premiership

Agree. A bit too late for him.

Haynes made his feelings known. Straight to the point.

Said, "if blokes don't want to perform. we have plenty of young guys coming through in the twos who will play the system we want". Telling it like it is and saying things our other leaders won't.

My opinion of Haines has risen significantly.

Just a bit from the current Captain acknowledging that these are tough times and mostly staying positive and bringing leadership and energy.

https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/teams/carlton-blues/the-ones-that-want-to-step-away-blues-captain-sends-message-to-teammates-as-season-falls-apart/news-story/ddb59b100d4d589cd0c0d0b8dbe62ba3?fbclid=IwY2xjawLRMsZleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETE4MVRQU05kemlkd2RxaGpEAR470eE2gaPILPBkKTwSF2D2CaVO0LUrDQHiWf6jPS3Q1TzPWjhC87c5I8I5-A_aem_tfW_8I909czXso6YBsuB-g

In amongst that were a couple of concerns.

Quote
Carlton captain Patrick Cripps says he’s about to find out who among his teammates will “step up and dig in” amid a horror on-field run which moved one former player to suggest the Blues could consider trading the skipper. With the walls closing in, Cripps said now was the time he would find out a lot of about himself as a leader, and his teammates’ capacity to come through it all.

Quote
“You find out a lot about yourself, I reckon, (in) these times, not only as a player but as a leader, but also (about) guys around you, the ones that really want to step up and dig in versus, like I said before, the ones that want to step away,” he said in the sit down with fellow Brownlow medallists Tom Mitchell and Lachie Neale.

You would think Cripps already knows this.
He's been playing with them for long enough.
He wouldn't be talking about the young players, and the suggestion is there is a group who, when the going gets a bit tough, some don't get going.

Exactly my first reaction, also, Principal LODS. In fact, my jaw dropped when I read that.

Sorry Crippa, but if blokes on-field are not 'stepping-up' guess who that is on? You. You're the captain, the on-field leader. The buck stops with you... What are you not getting through that accommodates a lack of on-field leadership? Do you demand adherence to team values on-field? Do you get buy-in? That's leadership. Leading by example is only a part of the leadership equation.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

I suspect he and the club knows who they are and he's just covering for them.  Time to thin the herd perhaps
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?
