Moir, again, showing why VFL form alone is not the only way to pick a side.
He belongs at AFL level and is becoming more and more confident every week.

Not a great match to watch with the weather doing its best to lower the skill levels of each.

That being said, we are doing well enough and have shown enough hunger to keep us interested.

Dees not looking great, and 3 50m penalties against isn't helping them.....but they are not being very disciplined so thats on them.

TDK with a potential shoulder. Down in the rooms.
Don't think its the first time i've seen him with a hanging arm this year. Doesn't look super bad, but i don't think he plays well with injury from what i've seen of him.
Might be best to sub him off now.

Cripps would be the main man. Depends where on the ground it is. If its deep forward, let charlie take it. Deep back, Haynes/HOF/Weiters can help out.

Not a great half by either team. Both are certainly cracking in. We've been better than the Dees and the lead is certainly deserved IMO.

I wonder if that store in Puckle Street has those jars of confidence back in stock ? I'd say both teams desperately need a few.

Whatever the next 2 quarters hold, it's hard to get fussed one way or the other. Seems as though we have bigger issues to deal with at the moment.

We can criticise the club for a fair bit this year but they've done a good job with Moir.
We knew about that X factor.
But his early game this year was a 1 kick 1 handball effort.
And his early season form in the VFL wasn't much better.
It wasn't so long ago he was running around in the VFL looking very unlikely.
Then they gave him a bit of time on the ball and suddenly he looked a better more involved player.

A couple of games back in the senior side and now we're starting to see some of that early promise realised.

Yep. He looked gone for all money.
However, a bit of confidence and a chance, and he is repaying us big time.

Sometimes you just gotta give the guy a shot.
