I wonder what you are watching sometimes.
We started slow. We played better from there. We won the last quarter and outscored them over the last 3.

In all honesty, it was an 'average' effort. No boost. No burden. Just middle of the road stuff.

Nothing i saw last night matches what you said here.
The Dawks played one quarter of effort footy and cruised for the next three, it was all over in the first.

I'm not sure their coach would be too pleased.
With percentage going to play a pretty significant part in positions in the eight, you would think clubs involved would be trying to squeeze out as big a margin as possible.
We've seen it in a number of games already this weekend.

Cincotta is one of the best kicks in the team but he is wasted in a tagging role, just because he is sufficiently disciplined to carry out the role.  I would like to see him given a chance to play a more positive role.

I don't mind him shadowing someone, but playing through him and letting him get a few kicks is a much better use of his time.
He played a very good game against Tom Stewart a couple of years back, not just because he took Stewart out of the game, but because he kicked a couple of goals himself and was involved in a couple of others. That makes him far more effective.
The other thing I note is that Cincotta generally isn't a part of our centre square team, even when shadowing a key mid; he tends to pick up his man after the bounce. That is just not smart. Having him in there, as an integral part of the midfield, is far better: he runs well and his very good depth to his kicking.
Live Long and Prosper!

I think GTC is picking a team to find players and develop, dont think many of us care anymore about the result we are just looking for youth that can show something for the future.
Testing HOK vs Jackson and Darcy is similar to playing Harry OFarrell on Patrick Voss who will probably try and punch his lights out like he does every week to his opponent and its all a learning experience which is what we want imho.
Id expect Fremantle to probably play a couple of quarters to win the game and then ease back on the throttle and rest some players later on so I reckon its a good game for some more youth to be played.

That would be the smart way to select this time of the year. Even play Cripps forward as Geelong sometimes do with Dangerfield. He'd be s tough match up.

Season is already a disaster. May as well go for it. Be a nice learning experience.

That's like seeing if a young boxer can fight and asking him to go against both Tyson and Ali.
Not sure how much you are going to learn.

My thoughts exactly.
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time
2025-Carlton can win the 2025 AFL Premiership

If Patrick Voss tried to punch one of our blokes, slot him right back.  Or put a knee/fist in during a marking contest, that's apparently a "football act".   Enough's enough

I wouldn't be so keen to play kids against strong opposition. Maybe against Essendon in the last round. Other than that, it feels like tanking and throwing in the towel, which we should never ever do. There's always something to play for. Other than that, you are just setting up the kids for failure and the start of embracing a losing culture. The better teams play youngsters in winning, stable systems, to maximize their chances of learning a successful culture.

Don't see the point in sending out the same tried and failed players.
Richmond have played their kids all season and been fine.
Maybe our kids can look after the senior players who are meant to be looking after them...
