Its as simple as cripps went out of the middle early third term and we got creamed at the coalface.  Hewett was always going to draw a tagged to quell his influence and o meara did the job and hurt him going the other way.  We arent batting deep enough in there and add a BOG performance from Jackson (worth more cash than TDK) and thats the story. 

We are playing a bunch of first year players and it shows.

What an awful quarter. Dockers kick 4 goals, while we kick 1.

That quarter Cripps and Hewett were quieter; skill great, but ...
George Hewett: 33 possessions, 7 clearances (none that quarter) and 4 tackles.
Patrick Cripps: 27 possessions, 7 clearances and 8 tackles.

Freo picked up around the packs, beating us in clearances. :(
And they're kicking straighter.

So what happened against Port and North in Rounds 17+18.
first half - 2.7 and 1.6
second half - 8.6 and 7.6
