This without our 2 best mids. You have to be happy.
Yes, GWS showed some fight after the lightning delay, but the game was already won by then.
Next Friday is going to be interesting. Another question: will we be on TV when the game starts at 21:15?

Will need to win as all the sides below us down to 9th have games they should win.
Sorta, not exactly.

If we win, we are in.
If we draw, we are in.
If either Adelaide or Sydney draw, we are in.
If any of Saints, Adelaide or Sydney lose, we are in, even if we lose. (Fremantle are so far behind % wise, that it doesn't matter)

If we lose and everyone below us wins, we can still be in, but it'll come down to %.
West Coast go above us if they win as their % is already better than ours.
Saints got above us if they win as they are on the same points as us already.
Adelaide and Sydney are about a 2-3-goal margin behind us in terms of %, so these results matter.

So VERY roughly speaking....
If Adelaide winning margin + Our losing margin > 2-3 goals, it will be pretty even % wise between us
If Sydney winning margin + Our losing margin > 2-3 goals, it will be pretty even % wise between us.

Of course, none of that matters if we win.

Only saw the latter part of the game.
Seemed we lost some momentum with the interruption. GWS stepped up and were rewarded.
A few observations I have.
- Pound hopefully better for the run
- Everyone laid a tackle. A huge 41 between 4 players 👏
- Bohanna had her kicking boots on, Ronnie not so much
- Scholz developing nicely
- Use i50 was average
- Vickers (late in) did selection chances no harm

- Mids managed well without McKay & Hill
Coming together is the beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.

Dayna Finn really stepped up - not that she hasn't been good all season.  She really relished her inside role even if she did cop a few knocks.

Carlton played pretty well before the lightning break. They obviously got a bit comfortable sitting on their bikes.  The last ten minutes was better again. Bohanna is clearly very important to us. She provides a focus and structure that we missed over the past two weeks. Valardo and Gruen played well as well.  Experience is important in finals.
Carlton will have played six of the of the other top nine teams and normally seven wins from twelve games would get you into finals but WCE have had a far easier draw, which the AFL should fix by having all sides playing one another in a season, but the AFL isn't serious about women's football. They always tell you what is wrong and never focus on it's strengths or the opportunity.
Now Carlton has to go to Perth on a five day break to ensure it's place in the finals. I believe Carlton is a better side and hopefully they will play to their ability and win.
