We'll get screwed by the umpires this Thursday and suffer in silence.

Pretty much every major AFL media channel is banging on about the Crows being stitched up by umpiring errors. Tex is out there bleating to the fans, stoking the fires, the Crow fans will be extra vocal.

All this feeds back into the umpiring mindset, they read the papers, they see the broadcasts, they are only human. When we have those 50/50s, the anticipation and hesitation in decision making, these things won't go our way and this is the price of our silence.

Our fans are more likely to sit in the stands in dread, swallowing air, schtum, drowning in negativity, blaming players and coach for every ill of the world. But we are only and can only ever be about 1/3rd of the total influence over the outcome of a game, never more, and when we sit silent we are less.
