Terrible 2nd qtr, umps did us no favours. The Walker 50m was a disgrace. Walsh 15 in the first, 3 in the second. This is the difference between say Diesel and Walsh. Diesel would get 15 in the first and his mind set was Im on for 60 today. Walsh's mindset  appeared to be Ive done my bit.
I'd put Harry back for craps and giggles.

Our backline is shizen. Haynes is reminding me of his 1st game v Richmond. Young is a ragdoll toy for Thilthorpe. Boyd is making shocking decisions. Derksen is out of his league. Cowan and Newman battling hard but they are under the pump so much. Starting Cripps on the bench and suddenly they smash us in the middle and we just fall apart. Something definitely wrong with Cripps' right hand. Walsh on fire in the 1st and unsighted in the 2nd. Smith hardly touched it. Cerra hardly touched it. Williams ditto. Kemp and Evans, zero impact. H is at least bringing the ball to ground but not much else. Hopefully as we're down at halftime we're saving ourselves for the 2nd.😝

In that 5 years we made a prelim. It is NOT all doom and gloom.

Lack of defensive structures.....
We lost Jack.
We are without Weitering.
We are without O'Farrell
We are without Dean
Thats our 4 best KPPs
Our next best would probably be...
Kemp - required forward
McGovern - required forward
Which leaves us with....
Young - who we asked to look elsewhere
Derksen - who was free to a good home
Haynes - a 34yo playing his first game back from injury

Gee, i wonder why our defense is struggling.


Rubbish and more excuses. 

We have never had defensive structures and missing 3 defenders 2 of which have played under 10 games if not the reason mate.

Voss is a 2 time failed coach and will
never get another senior role after he sacked later this year which says it all.

Funny how you dismiss the defenders missing, highlighting how few games they've played........which actually backs up my comments about how its a list management issue.
If 2 of our best 3 defenders have played about 10 games between them....how the hell are you still blaming the coach for lack of defensive structure??

I really enjoyed how the umpire called "stand" twice and Taylor kept running on yet they didn't penalise him - WTF ??
