There was a game for Vic Metro last year where they got flogged, Ison had about 5 kicks - he either scored a goal or was the root cause of the team scoring with every kick.  His ball use can be first class, even though his draft dossier read "kicking inconsistent".  If that wasn't a red herring I've never seen it.
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?

Hard to get a read on that, but pleased to have put the foot on the throat and demolished them on their dung heap.

Derkson kicked 5 goals.

Worth remembering he had an afl quality opponent in tom macdonald.  Not sure hes at the peak of his powers but still can only beat who you play against.

Thought ison and acres were really impressive.  Lord too.

Acres was a standout.
Ison is great with ball in hand. Smart.
Moir benefits from being put in amongst the action. Forces him to work harder.
Walks2 is just so poised. Something special.
Boyd and Young down back were generals.
Reidy had a day out in the ruck.
Lord, Campo... solid.
Derks... how can you complain about 5gls!
Byrne disposal is just so good.
Teacher's pet did his bit.
Darcy Hogg was probably the best of the VFL listed boys... just keeps improving.

As I saw it

Absolutely demolished them after quarter time. Out ran them, out tackled them, punished them on the turnover. Everything you want from  a team. If only it could translate to the seniors.

Thought Reidy was BOG. Just smahed his opponent and played like he was Luke Jackson.
Acres got plenty of the ball and kicked a couple but still has disposal issues with hand and foot IMO
Thought Lord was good across the whole game
Hogg probably had his best game for the year as did a lot of others
As I said previously both Moir and Ison have a lot of potential and got better as the game went on.
Derksen kicked 5 but I just don't know if he's an AFL standard forward
Lewis Young was a rock in defense but his disposal is nail-biting stuff
Cody Walker, gee i wish we could play him now. Just a jet
Basically everyone contributed but if i had to pick a couple for our needs it would be Moir and Ison. Speculative selections but after Kemps kicking last night worth the punt

Any win by both our mens and womens team is good, and this particular one was about as good as it gets.

I was impressed with Hogg last year too. We can get him as a late father/son if we/he wanted.

When I left to tutor this morning, we were five points in front and probably lucky to be so: neither side knew how to kick at goal.
So, imagine my surprise when I turn the computer on and we win by 122 points!
I am going to enjoy watching this replay!

What I can gather from the statistics:
[1] Reidy must have been BOG. He not only had 23 taps, more than double anyone else (and that was HOK), but he had 15 clearances! Fifteen clearances! That more than Tom de Koning has got in any 2, maybe three matches. It is more the Cripps gets! He had 24 possessions and 2 marks.
Considering that he couldn't touch it last week, that is some return to form! I would like to see more marks, but he did everything else.

[2] Cooper Lord had 2 disposals in the first quarter. I though he must have been injured. He finished with 22, 3 clearances and 3 tackles. I still think he couldn't have been 100 %, or he would had a lot more tackles. I'll look at that with interest.

[3] We didn't have any 40 possessions guys this week. Instead, we appear to have shared the ball around more.
Blake Acres: 31 possessions, 8 marks, 1 tackle, 2 goals. His shoulders must still be issues, but this is his best game in some time.
Darcy Hogg: 28 possessions, 1 clearance, 3 tackles and 7 marks. I guess he can't get a clearance if Reidy is getting them all.
Cody Walker: 24 possessions, 9 marks, 2 clearances, 1 tackle. Not bad for an underage kid.
Ben Camporeale: 24 possessions, 6 clearances, 1 tackle and 3 marks. 2nd most clearances on the ground.
Lewis Young: 23 possessions at FB. 16 marks! He may not be the defender we want, but he is in very good form.
Jordan Boyd: 23 disposals, 1 clearance and 2 tackles.
Cooper Lord: as mentioned, he had 22.
Lachie Fogarty: 22 disposals, 2 goals, 10 marks, 2 tackles.
Harry Charleson: 21 disposals, 6 marks and 2 tackles.

That is quite a collection there!

[3] Jack Ison had 19 possessions and kicked 2 goals. If he gets 19 in the seniors, he'll have a lot more than 2 goals.
Ashton Moir jad 18 disposals and kicked 2 goals as well.

[4] Matthew Cottrell: 17 disposals and 3 clearances. Definitely not in form yet. Did he have a negative job? Not the sort of numbers to get back in the 1's.

[5] Wade Derksen: 5 goals and 6 marks from 14 possessions. His man had 22 possessions, and must have been close to the BOG in the first quarter, but if you are a defender and you can't stop your man kicking goals, it wouldn't have mattered if he'd had 32! He was still beaten.

[6] Trent River for them: he seems to be stuck in the 2's. He can do a negative job. Should we be interested? I want to see what he did before I commit myself, but he has been a good footballer and still is reasonably young.
I guess I'd prefer to pick up a really athletic guy as a tagger, someone who can run guys into the ground. But, are there any in this cohort? I don't know.
Live Long and Prosper!

@crash no to rivers.  If he was any good he would be in the ones.  They arent exactly flushed with talent.

I thought charleson was extremely good coming out of defence and helped set us up significantly for drive going forward.

Good pick-up 3 Leos. I forgot to mention him - so many good players to choose from!! Charleson was extremely good, as you mentioned. Showed really good judgment and has a footy brain... measurable improvement.

From what I've seen of him I'd be giving him a game and a contract extension.
A player that is improving.
He's not as flashy as some but goes about his work without a lot of fuss.
