That Ruck Ruke is the worst rule imaginable. That together with the Stand Rule.

I watched Sydney and St.Kilda. Grundy didn't even just for some centre bounces as he looked like going over the line. t's was farcical. Happened a number of times. Must be a KPI at AFL House, to check your
brain cells in at the door before entering the building.

At one stage in the 2nd they had like 7 centre clearances to none.  But I think 4 of 5em were frees (3 ruck frees)

And speaking of the broadcasters...Fckn couldn't have barracked any harder for the opposition.

All night, Ess just have to…. Caddy needs to…..   Cripps was given a long time to dispose of that…..   caddy may have been interfered with there…

Kenny must be really sore that his mate vossy got shafted.  And jack, well,  he just hates Carlton, and is a dopey prick
You expect the commentators to:
(a) know their job,
(b) be unbiased, and
(c) produce something worth listening to,
then you are in for disappointments most weeks. The present generation of commentators are not up to much.

We really need to get this ruck stuff sorted, as there are just far too many frees going against us.
Honestly, our rucks were brutalized by the umpiring tonight.

I regularly complain about the umpiring, but I can't help it: they are not paying frees that are there and guessing about some that are not. Very ordinary. I do hope we take a package of their stupidity to the powers that be and ask for an explanation.

What did we get out of tonight:
[1] a win:
Sad, but the four points was probably the most we got out of tonight.
[2] Beating Essendon:
I want us to become a bogie team for Essendon, one they dread to face. They owned us for too long: it is time for us to return the favour.
[3] Better kicking for goal from Talor Byrne, who kicked 2 important goals.
[4] Better kicking at goal from Brodie Kemp:
Kemp's last one from the boundary should have broken their backs, it was so good. Pity the easiest one hit the post.
[5] Harry Dean:
He kept Caddy to 6 disposals, the least on the ground, and but for the last couple of moments kept him entirely out of the play while getting 15 disposals and 8 marks himself.

How good was Harry Dean again. He fixed up Caddy from the first minute and it was especially good, given the amount of ball that was coming in and the easy in which it was coming.

I’m going to enjoy barracking against caddy for the next decade.  Didn’t touch the footy all night and still managed to make it all about him, including a couple of major tantrums

Of course happy to come away with the win, but 15-5 contested marks is a big fail. The cheats were great in the air all day long.

Win's a win but that was hard to watch given how we have played the previous 3 weeks.
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time
2025-Carlton can win the 2025 AFL Premiership

Pittonet was poor last night.
He was penalised for that stupid centre 'line' rule.
But the infringements were there according to the rule.

It's not so much the player that's at fault.
How are you supposed to watch a line on the ground and a ball in the air.
They don't need a line in the middle but maybe a line that both ruckmen have to start their run at the ball from.

Spot on, GTC. That first half from us was pretty ordinary with a few leaders among the culprits. They came after our one wood and succeeded. Our midfield was very ordinary in the first half allowing far too much easy ball into their fifty - allowing too much pressure on our young defence. Plus our ordinary shots on goal sure didn't help.

On the positive side, apart from getting the four points, liking Cerra to the wing. Deano is a fckng ripper. H enjoying and doing well getting around the ground with his second ruck duties. With ball in hand, Frankie never wastes a disposal. Hewey showed his value and Ainsworth was probably the best our newbies from other clubs.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

It seemed to me that Essendon put a fair bit of work into planning how to combat our strengths.
If Fraser doesn't want the job, maybe we can offer it to Solomon. ;)  :D

I hope that F-tard Andrew from Niddrie didn't ring up....why they give that bloke air time beggars belief.  Denial isn't a river in Egypt champ.
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?
