Jim Park Voting AFL Rd 17 2026 Carlton vs Richmond

Voting is as usual: you have 15 votes to award pretty much as you will, with the following provisos:
[1] 15 votes in total, no more, no less.
[2] No more than 10 votes for any one player (even Sam Walsh or Patrick Cripps)
[3] Three players at least must get a mention.
[4] A grade for the game, A+ (what I want to see) to F-.

AFL Rd 17 2026   Carlton vs Richmond
Team:      C
We won. We should have won by more. It will have to do.

Votes:
[2.5]   George Hewett
[2.5]   Jagga Smith
[2.5]   Nick Haynes
[1.5]   Wade Derksen
[1]   Patrick Cripps
[1]   Nic Newman
[1]   Ollie Florent
[1]   Sam Walsh
[0.5]   Adam Cerra
[0.5]   Francis Evans
[0.5]   Mitch McGovern
[0.5]   Billy Wilson

Explanations:
[2.5]   George Hewett:   A great game from George, with 26 possessions, 9 tackles and 4 clearances.
[2.5]   Jagga Smith:      A great effort considering we lost the ruck so badly. 29 possessions, 5 tackles and 4 clearances.
[2.5]   Nick Haynes:      A great game from Nick. He was excellent in the air and on the ground.
[1.5]   Wade Derksen:   His best game so far, with intercept marks and good spoils.
[1]   Patrick Cripps:      Crippa was horrible early, but he really lifted. Had he kicked straight, he would have been so much better.
[1]   Nic Newman:      Another great game in defence.
[1]   Ollie Florent:      Made his 200th game one to remember.
[1]   Sam Walsh:      Down from recent weeks, but still important.
[0.5]   Adam Cerra:      One of his better games for the year.
[0.5]   Francis Evans:   Frankie got a lot of ball and was dangerous.
[0.5]   Mitch McGovern:   Good at both ends.
[0.5]   Billy Wilson:      Not as good as he has been, but his run and kicking were crucial.

Honourable Mentions:
Ben Ainsworth:      Had an ‘almost’ night.
Brodie Kemp:         Very good early, but barely touched after half time.
Harry McKay:         Not bad, just not as influential as he has been.
Lachie Cowan:      Not as good as he has been, but still important.
Talor Byrne:         Not a lot of ball, but his tackling and chasing were important, as was his pass from the pocket.
