Does anyone think we can beat Collingwood?
North nearly did as did the GC. 6 and 4pts. GC  couldn't beat time with a stick right now.

We should have beat them last time. We play with essentially 17 on the  ground given Elijah Hollands issues, lead all game, usual last qtr crash back then, then found a bit only to lose with a kick after the siren. Don't overrate Collingwood.

IF we display the form prior to the Richmond game, we win.

we can but we won't.

Re Kemp, he plays like a bloke back from having a season ending injury and probably will be better next season.

Agreed...we can but we won't.  Other than the Sun's I see this as our last chance to win for a while.
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?

Collingwood would be deservedly starting as favorites, but not by much IMO. I think some in the AFL world would be spooked by the Hawthorn game, which is not unreasonable. I give us a slight chance, but we need 4 quarters of good footy and 18/23 contributors. And if it comes down to "taking our moments" hopefully we're good enough - the Pies have a few players who are good in that space.

They’ve taken their moments against us when it counts, same story for the last 5 games or so. We definitely owe them a 4 quarter performance, for our own sanity if nothing else.
The Ox is slow but I'm running out of patience.

I'm more confident about a win this week than last but our form has tapered off. Sides are smashing both Rich & Ess and we just barely got across the line against both. How we knocked off GWS during that period defies logic.
Anyway, Cool are not in the same league as the Dorks and hopefully with a little luck and application our boys can get across the line.
Keys to winning
1. Stop N Daicos (was hoping B Wilson would get a run here)
2. Reduce the impact around centre and stoppage of De Goey
3. Tackle, tackle, tackle. Intensity
Acres needs to come back in. Flynn Young, Zac Williams, maybe Fogarty all potantial in's
George will be out. Hollands hasn't worked. Ison needs a break and Kemp I would drop

Yes.

Without trying to make this a coach debate, look at what happenes last time.
We had elijah off with the fairies for the whole game and we had byrne miss the shot at the end to give us a draw.

If we are not playing hollands, we have immediately improved and this should win.

Kemp's kicking for goal frustrates me but he has kicked 24.18 so far to Harry's 22.23 ... and the latter is a Coleman medalist!  Gov has kicked 26.11 but he's missed some shockers too.

Kemp, Harry and Gov have different roles and comparisons can be misleading.  However, Kemp is leading his two teammates in goal assists, score involvements, marks inside 50 and tackles inside 50.

I'm happy to persevere with Kempy as a forward but I'd like to see some work done on his goal kicking method.

Kemp is a good kick for goal generally.
He had a terrible patch earlier this year but that's not the norm.

Even with that terrible patch, he's better than McKay who has won a Coleman.

Make him the 3rd tall.
Get mids who can kick
Kemp is no longer a 'problem'

No doubt we should have won last time for those reasons. I have confidence in this one.

We have to beat all of the Pies, Suns, Saints and Dogs to play in September due to our percentage, unless we really slaughter someone. All we can win being around our mark on the ladder. If one of them beat us then we have to beat one of the Lions or Dockers to make up for it. Pies run home stinks.
