When Weiters is fit, he slots straight back into full back and we should be trying Derksen forward.  Played several games there for GWS in the VFL for a pretty solid goalkicking return.  And he has very good hands as we have seen.  He also kicked 5 against Casey Demons earlier this year.
Probably right there.
The other question is who goes out, most probably Lewis (depending on match ups) but his last couple of weeks have been very good.
The Ox is slow but I'm running out of patience.

we lose we complain, we win, i am seeing some complaints / concerns. We won so lets just be happy and by the way we don't need a coach we just need caretaker of this side. Once we get a coach we seem to go backwards. Go Blues :)

Didn't think we could win this one but after I read the SEN pre-game preview, I thought we might be in with a chance. It was so poor that I thought people might be missing something.
I said this a number of times, if you do the simple things well, hit your targets and kick your goals, it is a different game. I think we are getting better at standing up for ourselves without getting sucked in, I would like our tackling to get a bit better and some of our decision making an d field kicking can improve. Having won ten games means we have had a better year than last year. Big game this week against St.Kilda.

Have viewed this game twice now and may have another look before Sunday as it really is a joy to watch.
Mostly covered by previous posts, but a couple of things that really stood out for me on the lesser lights
Pitto's game was unbelievable. Don't think I've seen him ruck as much as he did on Saturday. He was almost Max Gawn like. Didn't dominate in hitouts or HTA but his contested stuff was awesome.
Lord has his best game for us this year. Really took on the inside kicks and kicks to advantage. Fantastic.
Cottrell also had a much better game than previously
Cerra, another who had a best for 2026
To tell you the truth I could go on about each and everyone in the team because it is probably the best overall team effort I've seen in many a year.
The big question for me is, if Weitering is available this week who gets left out??? Seriously no one should get dropped. Maybe we could manage someone?

Cooper Lord spent four nights in hospital, and had to have sugery for a staph infection earlier this year.
That would have knocked him around a bit, and sent his season off the rails.
It's good to see him back in the side.
A few more games under his belt this year, a good off-season, and we'll see his best in 2027.

I thought our field kicking was pretty average at times, for example Byrne kept kicking at the leading forwards' feet. They ended up as goals anyway due to great positioning and follow up work at ground level but we weren't always as clean as made out by the media. Hit the leading player, go back and kick what should be an easy goal instead of chaos stuff at deck level, it's about percentages.
I think Jagga Smith still needs a lot of work with his kicking and use.  A lot of loopy 15 metre stuff that misses, I realise that his modus operandi is accumulating weight of numbers and getting to an open player on the outside but he could develop much higher 'hurt' factor.
Contrast that with Lords game, who kicked with precision and smart use and he really opened the Lions up through the corridor.
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?

It's amazing what happens when you kick straight!
Kemp normally misses, head go down etc, etc.
This game he kicks straight and look what happens.
Simples!
2025... Moir of the same to come
