AFL Rd 22 2026 Pre Game Predictions Carlton vs St. Kilda at Marvel

Next Sunday night at 19:20 at Marvel. Disgraceful timing, but that is what is it is.
The 'Aints humiliated us earlier this year, one of the few times we were really bad, so we have a lot of work to do something about that.
Silvagni dislocated his shoulder. They would be insane to play him, but this is Ross Lyon we're talking about.
Live Long and Prosper!

Big game, anything is possible. Fraser and the team have done most things right thus far, as he said in his presser, cant look any further than next Sunday night and process required this week to content agains them.
2021-Pi$$ or get off the pot
2022- Real Deal or more of the same? 0.6%
2023- "Raise the Standard" - M. Voss Another year wasted Bar Set
2024-Back to the drawing boardNo excuses, its time
2025-Carlton can win the 2025 AFL Premiership

St Kilda weren't too bad yesterday.
We know they have some talent.
Some we may not be able to control for all of the game.
It took a big effort for the Swans to get over the top of them.
The Silvagni injury hurt them.

We were on a bit of a high...
Will there be a let down?
Cripps and Haynes in milestone games.
I'm wondering whether there might have also been a message to the decision makers in terms of "playing for Fraser."
The team are making it hard to look elsewhere.

Both teams will have strong incentives to win.
Probably a 50/50 game.

That's applicable to everyone, even Saint Josh.

I didn't miss the slap from Toss regarding JSoS in his presser..."we're so lucky to have him".

And we are so, so lucky we picked anybody else to coach us rather than that smug prat, even if we sacked him.
DrE is no more... you ok with that harmonica man?

Play Wilkie the same way we played Andrews. Take his intercept marking out of the equation. His task will be that much harder if Silvagni is out as well.

One of the buggers of a game like Saturday, you can only enjoy it for a couple of days then have to back up a week later and do it again. Suppose it's the same unless you win the GF. This week more than ever. An 8pt game to end all 8 point games. Win and we are 2 games clear of St.Kilda heading towards a wildcard, needing only one win to make it. Lose and they jump us.

2 wins would be nice to finish with a positive win/loss record.

im a conspiracy theorist.

We dont win this week, and gws jag a win, and its a race to 10th.

The afl want as much attention as possible so expect a loss.

Lose this week and we have to beat Freo to make it. (and the dogs)

Dogs themselves don't have it too easy. They should beat North, although North tend to make things tough for most sides even in defeat, but then they play us and Melbourne. It could be a last chance saloon for us in case St.Kilda roll us but we'd have to beat both the Dogs and Freo. A win this week and a 2 game buffer on the Saints sounds much better.

I wouldn't be flirting with form. I don't think Weitering should be an automatic in.

While he doesn’t believe the win was a lesson in coaching from interim Fraser, Simpson did concede that everything the Blues have been working on – even prior to Fraser’s tenure – was on show in full effect on Saturday night.

“I’m not sure it’s a masterclass, but everything they tried worked,” he said.

“Sometimes it’s just playing your way. A lot of the things Carlton have done really well in the last 10 weeks; they were working on in November and December.

“That’s the beauty of the transition that Josh made. He didn’t tweak a lot of things, but they evolved really quickly.
