I wouldn't be flirting with form. I don't think Weitering should be an automatic in.
Can you imagine saying that 10 weeks ago….but your point is valid, hard to pinpoint anyone to be dropped on the back of last Saturday’s performance. If he’s right to go I’m sure he’ll be in with Young being the unlucky out.

While he doesn’t believe the win was a lesson in coaching from interim Fraser, Simpson did concede that everything the Blues have been working on – even prior to Fraser’s tenure – was on show in full effect on Saturday night.

“I’m not sure it’s a masterclass, but everything they tried worked,” he said.

“Sometimes it’s just playing your way. A lot of the things Carlton have done really well in the last 10 weeks; they were working on in November and December.

“That’s the beauty of the transition that Josh made. He didn’t tweak a lot of things, but they evolved really quickly.

based on that Vossy wasn’t given enough time, just when that debate was beginning to subside🙄. Also far from an ringing endorsement for Fraser as our next senior coach.

I suspect that's probably what will happen, but I'm not sure it's right.

We should definitely be savoring the moment, because :
a. it was great
b. it won't happen again for a while.

We got the best version of Carlton vs the worst version of Brisbane. Every bounce of the ball was in our favour, everything we tried worked. One of those rare games where everything just clicked for us. Nobody would think that game was an accurate representation of where both teams are at. If only we could have a result like that every week.

Which has been the argument all along.

I've never said Voss is a supercoach. Just give him some time to do what he needs to do. Fraser is riding on his coattails, and not doing a thing wrong, and doing plenty right. But people attributing all the success to Fraser and none to Voss is a recipe for disaster.
Look at the bigger picture as to what has changed since Vossys departure.

2 things....quality of opposition has been poorer.
Improvement from our captain (and its not just him, but obvious when looking at him) has made a huge difference.

I don't want to restart the debate. The article is nothing new to me, and some others, however all the voss haters/fraser boosters continue to ignore that and argue against it. Its dishonest and/or naive.

I’m ambivalent to be honest but I don’t buy your comment about quality of opposition given we have beaten Geelong and Brisbane.

I've just been breaking the ladder down week by week. Previous to our efforts this week (and geelongs to rise up the ladder) we hadn't beaten a team inside the top 6. Hadn't lost to a team in the bottom 5, and had split the difference between the teams in the middle.
That was based on nothing other than the ladder positions for about a month straight.
You don't have to buy it, that was the facts.

As mentioned, this was before last weekends games.

I get it but we won nothing with Vossy this year. For what it’s worth I was a fan of Vossy but his record made it hard to defend his position. Anyway let’s see who gets the role and how we fair in 2027 as this year is a write off.
