AFLW Rd 1 2026 Carlton vs St. Kilda

The first half of the 'double header' against St. Kilda at Marvel on Sunday afternoon.
Sophie McKay and Keeley Sherrar will miss with injuries picked up at training. :(

Few new names in there. Hopefully the girls gel together as well as last years group. The love they had for eachother and selflessness could well be rubbing off on the boys this year.
Goes a long way.

Kiara Bischa, Lily Baxter and Aisling Reidy played VFLW today at North Hobart, so they won't line up tomorrow.
Baxter didn't have a big game, but she kicked a goal.
Reidy also only had 10 possessions, but hit the scoreboard.

Great 1st half from the girls.

Lead 41-8 at half time.

Lily Goss has 2 goals and is playing the best game i've seen from her.

McKay and Hill have had it 18 times each at the half, with the reduced AFLW games, they'd be on track for 50 in the mens game.
Getting a good head start from Good in the ruck.

Not many players looking at of place at the moment.

Hopefully the men are watching.

I think i jinxed us.
Only kicked 1 in the 3rd.
Saints kicked a few and started well in the last.

50-39 with 14 minutes left.
Need to stop Tyanna Smith who is dominating.

Need to lift.

Blues are on top of the ladder!
(only played one game of the season, but it still counts)

Blues win - 66 - 40.

Great effort by the girls. A dominant performance and we should've / could've won by more.
