Did anyone hear BT say after Nas’ injury a snide remark about how the players weren’t able to warm up on the ground before the game - inferring the AFLW game gad somehow contributed to Nas’ injury 🙄 ffs so sick of these dinosaurs getting airtime.
NRL comes out for an early warm up, then completes most of it inside before arriving back on the ground moments before the start of play. They have more repeat / explosive running than AFL.

NWM, Ross the Boss exposed the truth post game, he had a hip pointer during the week which is why he didn't train, almost certainly bleeding or inflammation in the upper leg has cause his hammy problem.

btw., BT was in a sour mood, not happy commentating Carlton and not happy working Sunday night. He should have been stoic and kept himself up for the Spud game instead of dragging it down, but he can't help himself when he commentates our games, He'll talk about the clouds, seagulls, grass or even the garbage before he mentions the footy!

Well he and the bench were shown continuously throughout the game, more so than the farking game! So infuriating. The telecasts and commentary have just gotten worse and worse.

With an exception - Abbey Holmes is an absolute natural in her interviews with the players, she outclasses BT Reiwoldt and Hamish McL.

Hmm, I wouldnt go too hard about that.

It may have been a valid concern that the warm up time is restricted, but the reality is, Nas injury was more likely caused by Walsh's push, in conjunction with structural weakness in his lower back, or over compensation from his latest hip woes.

At the end of the day, injuries are a product of luck, biomechanics, and the work (or absence of) done prior.

Asserting he is a dinosaur for not getting players warm up time is a bit rich.  Its perfectly valid when you see them out there one hour before the bounce having a bit of a run around and general preparation.

Hate StK so very happy to win it and feel quite ambivalent to JSOS and TDK - think it was an error they left and you wonder now of the future of the Silvagni legacy at Carlton. Its just a bit sad.
Maybe, just maybe JSOS might come back ala Justin Murphy, Eddie Betts style?
But then what can he add to the team?

Ill also add that this is yet another example of what player confidence and enjoyment can bring. Crippa has been mentioning "joy" in many of his interviews of late. Given he is studying psychology, I'd guess he has been leading and driving the "joy" theme. Florent mentioned fun in his interview last night as well as doing your job, nothing more nothing less. From Young and Byrne to Crippa and Walsh, everyone is playing their role. No passengers, its a wonderful thing to see.

Personally, I sort of understand why Carlton people avoid BT, he's basically glossed over Carlton in the call for years, but I'd turn this around. If he approaches Carlton people after the game I'd instruct them to start with a comment like "BT, you look a bit flat did you enjoy the game?"

When BT interrupted the Podcast recording Cottrell and Hayward tried it on a bit, but BT ignored the question. Then he basically complained about Carlton people doing the same thing to him!

Pitto shows the way to go, he turns the trivialisation back on the interviewers.

Did anybody else notice Cerra briefly clutch the hammy in the last quarter, he played on so maybe it was just cramp?

One change in recent weeks we can definitely attribute to the post-Voss era, Cerra moving to the HBF has made a huge difference to his game and the impact he has on our transitions from D50 to F50. I realise he done this once or twice before, but he looks settled in now as a genuine replacement for  the injured Newman.

He said in his post match interview that moving to the HBF as due to Newman going down.

That was flagged by the fox commentators, Browny i think. They said they would investigate, but i can't recall hearing a follow up.

I did think of MBBs theory that cold night games = cerra hammy.

Pitto is actually a very funny man. His interview on the Sunday Footy Show was a classic.

A little discussed aspect of our current list / selection is the better balance between natural left and right footers, with a couple of players more than capable on either side.

I also heard Crippa say a few times the trust they have in each other which stood out to me… did they maybe not trust some that were there previously 🤔

I have to say i feel a bit sorry for TDK - huge pressure getting that type of pay packet. Hopefully he improves as he absolutely has the potential - just not against us nor to help StK do better in the years ahead!

Also meant the dinosaur comment re BT due to him having a crack about the AFLW game on before the game. If that impeded anyones warm up really theyd all be injured. In saying that he just grinds my gears so maybe i took it the wrong way. Regardless can’t understand how hes still commentating, the guy shows such a lack
Of interest in some games, he comes across as lazy in his preparation of the game and knowledge of players.

Thoughts on Acres’ game? And was Jagga tagged or just a quieter game? Heck that kid is A+ in interviews! Unbelievable

I didn't watch 7's telecast - thanks to Kayo  :)

The AFL players could be seen warming up in the background as Abbie McKay was being presented with her Golden Fist award.  That was about an hour before the AFL game started.  Perhaps BT was referring to the delay between the warm up and the start of the game for the Spud's Game "Light Up The Dark".  It was supposed to go for two minutes but was probably closer to three minutes and that could make all the difference with superbly fit AFL footballers  ::)

Surely the fact that Nas went into the game with hip and back injuries couldn't have played a part?

Making sense isn't really part of BT's shtik.
