We'll take the 'win', but geez an extra point would've really helped.

That point is most likely the difference between playing at home or paying interstate.

Unless we beat the dockers (and dogs lose to Dees) we've missed the chance to play the dream match against Pies in finals.

Important match for us is Dogs vs Dees.
If Dogs win that one, dees might finish 7th and we play them week 1.
Otherwise, most likely Crows away.

Just about to say that last bit.

The way the Crows handled finals last year they wouldn't feel confident either. They were awful.

Only thing that pleased me is that we found something in the last 4 minutes to come from 7pts down, draw level with 2.30 to go, the message come out that a draw would be enough, and we held on.

That was the only thing that was positive but good enough. Sometimes it is harder to make finals, wildcard in our case, or further along, harder to make the GF by winning the PF than what it is when you actually get there. It showed for us. Our composure all day was terrible until the end when we made up the 7pt deficit late and then held on.

I cant believe that just happened. Thanks to the gods that Richards ran too far 😰

Really well done in the second half by Acres, Florent, Frankie, And of course Walsh was huge!

Definitely not our finest showing but we stayed in it and limped to the line.  The Dogs were ferocious and I just knew they wouldn’t play half arsed.

Also Buku looks pretty good 👌🏼

We made to the wildcard round so lets celebrate this achievement from where we came from. A bloody great effort!
Sure, not our best performance. The Dogs had nothing to lose and were ferocious and committed - took our time and space away.
But we found a way to come from behind and get the draw, so kudos to the boys.

Finally got a chance to see Derksen up forward and he was okay - showed decent poise and competed well.

There's also a some smaller chance we go to the Gabba. Lions loss to the Pies, wins by Hawthorn over the Eagles and Geelong over Richmond, near certain, and a decent size win by Adelaide over GWS might make up the 4% deficit between the Crows and the Lions.

Needs to be a 20 goal margin (average 10 goal each way) for that % to be overcome.

There's a chance we play....
1. Dees in wildcard
2. Cats in week 2 elimination final
3. Hawks in week 3, semi final
4. Swans (away) in a prelim.

3 weeks at home is as good as we can get (if we make it past week 1)

I’m concerned that Wilbur may have suffered a syndesmosis injury or an equally serious lower leg fracture from his heavy landing.  If so, it will create an opportunity for Ison, Moir or Hollands but we’ll miss Wilbur.

Let’s hope he’s OK 🤞
