Jim Park Voting AFL Rd 23 2026 Carlton vs Western Bulldogs

[1] 15 votes in total, no more, no less.

Rather a high rating for a game we didn’t win, but we played a team in the finals at their best. And, for much of the game, we looked better. We usually struggled against the Dogs, so the result was worthwhile.

[2]   Sam Walsh:      Robin wasn’t far behind Batman: 33 possessions and some elite running.
[2]   Will Hayward:      Three great goals, a mark of the year contender, we really missed him when he couldn’t continue.
[1.5]   Marc Pittonet:      Not as dominant as he was last week, but Pitto was really important, especially at the end of the game. 9 clearances!
[1.5]   George Hewett:   Another really strong game from George: 30 possessions, 8 tackles and 5 clearances.
[1.5]   Blake Acres:      Acres at his best: 32 possessions and a goal.
[1]   Ollie Florent:      Great run and precise disposal: 28 disposals and 10 marks.
[1]   Nick Haynes:      Haynes is in great form. 26 possessions and 11 marks.
[0.5]   Jagga Smith:      Not as dominant as he has been, but he was still excellent. Each possession was a dagger in the Bulldogs.
[0.5]   Adam Cerra:      Continues his fine form
[0.5]   Harry McKay:      Not a huge game, but he took some great marks and kicked some great goals.
[0.5]   Frankie Evans:   Not as damaging as he has been, but Frankie still kicked goals and made things happen.

Honourable Mentions:
Ben Ainsworth:      A strong game from Ainsworth.
Harry Dean:         Did his job very well.
Matthew Cottrell:      Did his job well.
Lachie Cowan:      Not quite as strong as he has been, but still an important contributor.
Cooper Lord:         Continues his positive form.
