Robert Heatley Stand / Re: RD 21: Richmond v Carlton (Pre-game Prayers)
Watched the Blue Print, old Sellers doesnt mince his words and summarised how I feel excatly:
- Not fit enough
- Dont work hard enough

Put up the following chart

Rnd 1 v Rich Led by 17 Lost by 5
Rnd 2 v Coll Led by 23 Lost by 17
Rnd 3 v Geel Led by 22 Lost by 16
Rnd 11 v Ess Led by 31 Lost by 5
Rnd 12 v Haw Led by 17 Lost by 15
Rnd 15 v Coll Led by 28 Lost by 41
Rnd 19 v Freo Led by 16 Lost by 36

A sad tale really, in control of our own destiny and faded in 7 games.

He is confidant if we can exploit their defence we can win, I dont share this belief, who knows.

If Bartlett picks Richmond to win by 10 goals then we really do have a chance to upset them. This guy is a moron.
I wouldn't have given us a chance until this.

Agree...now KB has spoken we are back in the game...
He picks them by 10 goals every week, a more irrelevant figure in AFL or AFL media you will not find.

Nothing surer than a win this week.  They got their bogey win against us they have made finals and dont need the win.  We now have nothing to play for on saturday, and the tigers are going to crow early about their finals fortunes.  It all adds up to us winning this week.  No Chris Judd.  I can see the Tiggies getting ahead of themselves, and failing to rise to the occasion.  They are a bit mind stuffed when they face us, and if we get the jump on them early will go into their shells and fail to respond.
Thry me old mate, you are unfortunately describing what Carlton would do (ie steal defeat from the jaws of victory). Richmond will put us to the sword and will well.

Yep.  Looking squarely at us, and us alone we will win this game.  We are so predictable in when we pick and choose which games we rock up to play its not funny.  We still have the wood on these guys.  One coughing and spluttering almost win is not the panacea to a decade of dishing out losses to these bozos.

Yes we are predictable and we can't beat sides above us at all and lets face it Richmond are THAT MUCH better than us and have been building for quite some time. We can't even beat the Bulldogs when we have plenty to play for and they have nothing at all to play for. We USED to have it over them, when we were a well coached outfit. We have zero chance this weekend, I'm predicting a 10 goal plus hiding.

Im unwaivering in this, we will win on Saturday.  KB stated earlier on SEN that the Tigers would win by 10 goals.

 ;D
and they will

If we put 22 blokes on the paddock this Saturday, who are all on the same page and who have all bought into the MM/coaching approach/instruction then I have no doubt we will give a good account of ourselves.

Against the Puppies it was obvious that some girls were just not on the same page and may have even been 'rebelling'. MM commented after the game that we had a strategy for the centre bounce and the players did NOT adhere to the plan - that should incur coaching wrath. And ours.
Agree however I have had a gutful of insipidness and if the coach makes a statement for the last 3 games and at the end of the year, I will be happy. Its really simple, get the whole group in line and tell em step fwd if they buy in or step back if you don't. Play the ones who step fwd and fark the rest off no matter who they are or how many there are. The time has come for honesty.

We've got to get some serious ball-winning capability into our midfield for this one. I was at both the Freo and Dogs games and this is where both of those teams absolutely smashed us into oblivion. Both teams were into the clearances and contested ball situations like rabid dogs to win the ball and then dispose with precision while we generally looked on  like scared rabbits.

If we could do just that many of our other problems maybe would not look so bad. Do we have players capable of doing this though - we haven't seen many recently that's for sure.  >:(
Irony that what was once our only strength (Midfield) is now our major achilles heal.

Well how about being FG fair dinkum and aiming to win one in say 5-7 years by building systematically as opposed to  floating along in la la land trying to pinch one, but in reality being light years away form being a contender.

You know the 5 year plan that Collo always trumpted but in reality didn't exist (and the club wasn't patient enough to be bothered anyway).

Identify the players of use now, the future or those who can bring the others along.  F the rest off.

I will give an example - one of yours Brother Elwood - Collins.  Why that bloke was retained for another year, clogging up the list and contributing squat at a senior level (and hardly anything at Preston as he has been injured again) is mystifying. Yes he gad a contract.  So pay him out and get a KID in.
Can we not mention Collins ever again please, I get nauseous whenever I hear that name or see a #16 on the back of a guernsey. We love you Grigga, please come back.
