Nice to get a win after last week, but I am really surprised how ordinary Brissie were. We need some key position players so badly, yet they couldn't handle the few talls we have.

I'll watch the replay later.

Does the club post a replay on the site?

We might have a late out in the senior team.
One the selectors weren't ready for.
All the emergencies except Kennedy played.
He was the logical medical sub

If we have a problem...
Kennedy goes into the starting 22
Dow sits out the last and becomes the med sub.

Of course Dow may have been injured before the last quarter.
We'll wait and see.

SEN praising Dow for only 20 possies vs a weak Brisbane twos lineup, just cant see him making it based on that game where we had control for 3 quarters and he was still turning the ball over by foot and hand with minimal pressure.
Setterfield had 25 possies and 10 tackles in what looked like a great game but I just saw more of the same old same old, not much physicality, the opposition in Matheison having a lot of ball and I couldnt get excited about his game either.
If you exclude Crocker who is a experienced journeyman I'd be struggling to find a player to get excited about even though we won by plenty.
Maybe Josh Hollywood Honey looks more of a senior footballer to me given he has a stronger physique but he is the same player he was at U18 level and thats great when he is on for a quarter but then goes missing even in a walkover like todays game.
Ramsey has good skills but is very light in the body and ditto for Philp, Owies isnt as good as Crocker and I'm not sold on Crocker either given he already has had a couple of goes in the AFL.
The other unlisted player to impress me more was Toby Wooller....good size, neat skills, liked what I saw from him and if I was picking one from the herd to supp list it would be him...

I think Dow and Mathieson were just Insurance in case something happened during the Warm-up.

Pathetic, I pay all that money for Foxtel (mainly for sport) and can't even watch the AFL reserves comp.

People still pay for Foxtel?

I ditched it the second Kayo came out. Never again are they getting my money. You get the same stuff elsewhere for cheaper.

Likewise, ditched Foxtel coupla years ago for Kayo, Netflix... and now Stan (thank you, K)... for a whisker over a third of the price, for far more variety, and the footy.
Only our ruthless best, from Board to bootstudders will get us no. 17

CARLTON         12.1      14.4      20.7        24.10 (154)

BRISBANE       3.0        10.1      11.4        13.7 (85)

GOALS: Crocker 7, Parsons 5, Wooller 3, Caluzzi 2, Honey 2, North 2, Durdin, Ramsay, Shannon.

BESTS: Wooller, Parsons, Crocker, Honey, Setterfield, Dow, Caluzzi

I think the best named players says a lot, which is a real worry. What surprises me is why Brisbane appear so bad. They don't have a lot of injuries and their list isn't that bad. They made the stupidest mistake I can imagine just giving away Stefan Martin to the Dogs: they have few ruck options other than McInerny. When he is injured they have nobody, which is why they lost when he was missing. The grossest of stupidity is to give away a guy who is a match winner, when he is one of only 2 rucks on the list!

I do intend to watch the game tomorrow and enjoy it. I didn't much enjoy the seniors.

Brisbane I think...he impressed me, most will go Crocker, Setterfield etc but I thought Wooller showed more senior potential.
Good size, good mark, good kick and if you wanted to take a punt and rookie a player from your backyard he would be my pick
from todays bunch. We need another KP player given Charlie , Marchbank and McDonald are all cactus for the season.

he isn't a ruckman, although he has been thrown into that role a lot of late. He moves quite well and has a decent pair of hands. He also generally kicks the ball reasonably. He struggles against really strong opponents. I don't think he is quite up to AFL standard, but he is potentially a good VFL player and leader, if we can keep him.
The reason I don't think he is quite AFL level is partly based on the way we deliver the ball: we don't give our forwards much chance. He isn't going to take huge pack marks against a defence like Melbourne's, for example.
I think he has been a good pick-up for our VFL side, and will be a better one when he doesn't have to ruck so much.

Fair enough, first time I have seen him so I will bow to your expertise on all matters Wooller.....
