This is the thinking that worries me about the Trumpster and where we are heading closer to home with China and Taiwan.
The tell on Trump was when he encouraged the capital riots and hid at the back of the bus, not much more you can say about it.

Meanwhile down the rabbit hole.

MAGA want Rev Mariann Budde deported for her vicious and unwarranted attack on Trump during her post-inauguration pontification, she mistakenly thought everybody was at church to hear a bible sermon about hope, tolerance, forgiveness and kindness.

Deport her back to where she belongs, ................. New Jersey ............ home of single cat ladies and other social ratbags! ::)

Biden’s decision to grant Gen Milley a pre-emptive pardon has been justified.  However, the cowardly, draft dodging POTUS has still gone after Milley in a way that demonstrates his vindictive determination to seek vengeance and eliminate opposition.

As Milley pointed out, the US military doesn’t owe allegiance to any individual or office, but to the constitution.  This could get ugly or, should I say, uglier!

Canada and Mexico have stopped exporting steel to the USA. This will have a significant impact on the US economy.  Canada is also about to stop exporting electricity to the USA.

Denmark has announced additional defence funding to fortify Greenland. The EU has announced that it will stand by Denmark and stand up to Aurangzeb.

The cabinet nominees are undergoing excoriating hearings and it seems that cooker RFK jnr won’t get up.

US courts are overturning his unconstitutional executive orders.

And the price of eggs hasn’t come down!

Meanwhile, Aurangzeb managed to find time for two days of golf.

Not only the worst president ever, but the laziest by far!

He did it all on the first day.
Set up most of the things he said he was going to do with his dodgy executive orders.
Past performance suggests he'll get half of that through....if that much.
Pardoned his jan 6th folk to keep faith with the base.
Killed his legal issues.
Stripped some protection from folks that he feels did him wrong.
Kennedy shouldn't get up, and it probably wont worry the Don too much.
Don't think he liked him anyway.

I don't know why Denmark is even worrying about doing anything.
He's not going to invade Greenland.
He'll just let it all roll along now...and spend his time playing golf...and emerge every now and then for a bit of a 'rant and rave' and the odd photo op and phone call with a despot.

It's funny...we get upset when he does the things he said he was going to do.
And we get upset when he doesn't do the things he said he would do  (like stopping wars)

He just upsets us. ::)  :D

Just read the article about the amount of money the Trump family has made from the launch of the Trump crypto product, at the same time he is signing Executive Orders about the regulation of cryptocurrencies that 'will make the US the Crypto Capital of the world'.

Trump is going to make as much money as he can while he has the Sharpies in hand.

Can someone please explain how this is not corruption of the highest order?  It's easy to say it's 'smart business', but business is easy when you are also in charge of the rules......
This is now the longest premiership drought in the history of the Carlton Football Club - more evidence of climate change?

Hard to say....or is it?

Quote
What is Corruption?
Corruption, as defined by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. There are four types of corruption outlined by the UNODC:

Gaining Favor,
Accepting Bribes,
Misappropriating Property or Authority
Breaching Public Trust.
Corruption can have devastating impacts on society at both an individual level and a national level.

Corruption Definition
Misuse of power for private gain.
Acts that undermine public interest for personal or group benefit.

I think the general rule of thumb for the way Trump operates is this....

If it benefits Trump or the family,....he will follow through 100% on what he says he will do.
There should be no surprises.
No point getting upset by it.

If, on the other hand, there is no benefit to the family, the percentage of action on promises will be around 50%.
If there is significant push back he'll just move on.

His 'friends' now will most likely not be his same circle of friends in four years time.
It will be interesting to see how long Musk lasts.
He'll be a difficult one to get rid of.

Getting rid of Musk will depend entirely on the caveats on the money that musk put up during the election…
Let’s go BIG !

The simple answer is that Aurangzeb doesn't play by the same rules ... in any situation.

"The Art of the Deal" book that he is so proud of was written by Tony Schwartz.

He doesn't pay his creditors.

He cheats at golf.

He serially cheated on his wives.

He raped women.

He paid hushmoney.

He lied about his net worth

He bragged about perving on beauty pageant contestants.

He refused to accept the results of the 2020 election.

He pressured officials to "find" votes.

He encouraged an insurrection.

He issues unconstitutional executive orders.

He refused to disclose his tax returns or divest business interests that were and are clear conflicts of interest.

Rather than expressing sorrow at the recent plane crash, he sought to blame it on the Democrats and DEI, despite having just sacked the head of the Transportation Security Administration and disbanded the Aviation Security Advisory Committee ... and he launched the air traffic controller diversity program in his previous administration.

He is a pathological liar.

In that context, what's wrong with making some cryptocurrency while attempting to manipulate the market?  Who is going to do anything to stop him flaunting the rules?

It's still the Gulf of Mexico, Don Old!

Don't forget, when he thought he was out of earshot he cracked a joke about going for a swim!

FFS, if you sh1t yourself and he was the only thing around you could use to wipe your ar5e you'd probably pass from fear of becoming unclean!

Well, he does know a thing or two about sh1tting himself ... and I don't mean at the prospect of getting drafted and having to serve in Vietnam.

Terrible treatment of this young woman by Trump and crew imo, obviously highly intelligent and well trained for the job she was doing and her family deserve better than to have her belittled and denigrated in such a terrible way imo.
Im not a Trump basher or supporter but how he got to where he has with this reprehensible behaviour and wild neanderthal statements just makes you wonder what the future in the USA is going to look like with his semi Taliban like thinking about women.

A mate of mine is losing his job as a wildlife biologist because Musk says he and others like him are a waste of money.  He recently wrote:

"What I find more disheartening than what is now happening to federal workers, is the fact that the majority of the country supports it. I am fecking sick of being demonized and vilified just because I chose a life of civil service."
