Trump said the USA economy was booming and never better last week, unfortunately unemployment figures came out this week  and were terrible for the last three months and the bond market went into a dive and there are recession talks again so his timing and judgement of all things economic was askew.
The Fed will have to drop interest rates and Trump will have to spend some money and stimulate the economy. Plus with more unemployed who cant afford high prices on everyday goods his tariff policies will need to be wound back.
Wonder what his next bright idea will be?

Taco is claiming that the EU agreed to gift him $600BN to "invest in anything I want".

The EU official statement on the non-binding agreement says "EU companies have expressed interest in investing at least $600BN by 2029." This will add to the EU's current $2.4TN private investment in US.

It's not a gift and Taco doesn't get to decide where the investment goes.  It will be invested where the EU companies believe they can leverage an advantage and increase their influence.

It's the bond market dropping that personally hurts him, it's where he and other billionaires keep their cash, I gather that is why he sacked some people.

Normally the bond market is considered more secure than cash unless the government of the day shoots itself in the foot, bonds are in effect a contract between the government and the buyer!

He sacked his statistician for telling him the truth...US Bond yields affect long term debt around the globe and how much people pay for Business loans, mortgages etc so Trumps economic mistakes affect everyone and fecking up the yield curve affects monetary policy of which Trump has proved to be about as effective at as our List Management.

RedTrump seems to have made a pattern of talking down or disrupting a market segment, only for he and his cronies to make a killing when it recovers either after a policy backflip or a failed / toothless implementation.

But the recovery of that segment is a role of the dice, and the best advice I've had from an advisor is not to commit too much to any bet on those markets.

Was it Buffett who said if RedTrump wasn't currently President he would be going to jail for insider trading?

As each day passes the GOP is looking more and more toothless, a complete clown act, they have zero respect and RedTrump's big stick is now looking more like a flaccid pool noodle. That is without considering what the GOP has done to the US economy! RedTrump and his clown crew will be gone long before the shizen hits the fan, and it's going to, they have too many magic fiscal policies.

There are several local burgeoning industries and technologies that are going to go to the wall, sold out to the USA or other foreign investors, but without regulation they can't survive and they aren't big enough to defend against the likes of RedTrump's associates. Run by a bunch of mostly US based associates who without fear or favour are making a killing right at this moment, they have no long term outlook, the plan is to get in get rich and get out as quickly as possible while regulation remains weak! They have been placed in charge of the Titanic and the fastest route forward to a bonus is straight through the iceberg, in the process destroying what many have taken decades to build.
